Ahoy, mateys! I hereby declare the First BYOND Game-in-a-Day Challenge open!

In honour of International Talk Like a Pirate Day, the theme word is...

<span style="font-size: 300%; text-align: center;
font-weight:bold">plunder (verb)

Wiktionary, from whose pages I be plunderin' the followin' definition,
defines the verb "to plunder" as:
  1. To take the goods of by force (as in war); pillage; sack. "The
    mercenaries plundered the small town."
  2. To take by force or
wrongfully; steal; loot. "'Now to plunder, mateys!' screamed the
buccaneer, to cries of 'Arrgh!' and 'Aye!' all around."
  3. To make
extensive use of as if by plundering; use or use up wrongfully. "The
miners plundered the jungle for its diamonds, and soon it became a muddy
    waste."
  4. To commit robbery or looting. "The shopkeep was
plundered of his posessions by the burglar."

Remember, th' game yer make must incorporate the theme into its core
gameplay
. So if yer just taking a racin' game or a shootin' game and
slapping th' collectin' of loot on top of it, then ye shall be thrown
into the scuppers! Pacman clones won't be qualifyin' either (and not
only because of thar fan games rule).

If yer not be sure if yer game qualifies as havin' plunderin' as a core
game mechanic, be sure to be askin' IainPeregrine or meself, and we'll
set yer straight.

Piratical trimmin's are heartily encouraged but are not required.
As evidenced by th' above definition, not only pirates be plunderin'
nowadays. Heck, yer might even be able to get away with a good ol'
roguelike RPG if yer make plunderin' important enough to th' gameplay.

And remember, no fan games, or ye shall be made to walk thar
plank
! Us pirates like copyright infringement on th' whole, but only
when it's us that are doin' the infringin'!

Get to work, landlubbers! I want to be seein' a SHINE on them swabbed
decks by th' time I be gettin' back! Arrrrr!

Yer piraticality leaves much'n ter be desired.
My Turns library has been availble for over 2 years, but it was not under review. It was added to the libraries channel recently and I wanted to make it clear in case anyone wanted to use it. I hope nobody minds the quick addition. I actually thought it was in there already.
Yer piraticality leaves much'n ter be desired.

Aye. :-(
So these guys must make a Pirate Game...interesting.
Actually, pirates are not a requirement. :-) All sorts of other people plunder as well.
True, generally speaking however, Plundering does pinpoint a Pirate to me. xD.

Ah, I can see the rape games coming from a mile away...O_O

Arrr, what be this 'bout rape games?
Just a joke. Sorry I have a twisted sense of humor. Apologies to those of you who have been raped or violated.

I just hope not too many pirate games are created out of this.
RealQMark, stupid joke.
Is a CTF Game allowed, since capturing is stealing, and the definition of plundering is to steal?
@Silent Sage - Fair Enough. It was neither funny nor amusing. Just my feet typing on the keyboard.
Basik, Iain told me "stealing" was a weak use of the word unless it has more of a "plundering" theme, which is most literarly used in pirate kind of settings. So, if it was CTF where you are priates/vikings/mongols/whatever, and they burn down walls and such to get to the enemy's treasure, then maybe.

I personally decided not to do the contest because I'm not a fan of the pirate theme.
