Basik, Iain told me "stealing" was a weak use of the word unless it has more of a "plundering" theme, which is most literarly used in pirate kind of settings. Well, if that's the case, then I'm pretty sure my entry will be disqualified. It definitely uses a very loose interpretation of the word. That's ok, because my game sucks anyway! |

I thought I had said something to a different effect, I had no idea this is how you understood what I said. Sorry. Several people came to me asking about projects where the purpose was to covertly enter an area and progress towards a goal, at which point you'd win by "stealing" a goal item. Because the gameplay focused on the covert traversing of an area, and not so much on plundering, I advised that it was probably a weak usage, but to finish whatever you had. However, I was talking to a lot of people at the same time, so I probably said something really stupid. :/ |
Yeah, there are a few borderline entries (I haven't looked at most of them though, so I can't comment on any specific ones). Iain and I will have to discuss where we draw the line.
Gooseheaded - Judging hasn't started yet. Rest assured we'll let you know as soon as we decide. Watch this space! :-) |
