I think we've covered the analogy enough. I'm not changing my point, but in fact going back to it. Although the plot/house analogy wasn't perfect, I think I did well enough on that one. But because it wasn't a perfect analogy, it muddied the waters enough that it seemed desirable just to get down to the fundamentals. I've restated what I believe is your point, in my own words, and explained why that doesn't work based on the semantics. It's further backed up by the aforementioned dictionary.com URL.
