Why do you think you got the move command to move posts to the proper location, not delete a perfectly fine post. RaeKwon |

You know this kind of thing does not fit in general, and if it was because general is 'checked' more often by Dantom, all the more reason that it was deleted. You know better. Next time, post in the proper place. Alathon\\ |

Now i cant remember what the post even said. Why couldnt you just move it It's not the moderators' job to move every post you put in the wrong place when you clearly know better. You knew it didn't go in General, but it might have belonged in Newbie Central. Even though you're not a newbie, it was a newbie type of question. You might do well to stop whining every time a moderator acts on one of your threads, and instead learn from the lesson implied. Lummox JR |

Inwhich i seen no reason for that. As long as we're all just venting, why do you keep saying "Inwhich"? I mean, it's not a word. It sounds vaguely like it could be the name of a small, backwater New England town haunted by one man's dark quest to control forces older than time, but it's definitely not a word. Do you mean "In which"? If so, it still doesn't make sense. "In which I see no reason for that." Okay, so what does "which" refer to? In other words, in what do you not see a reason for that? What is in what here? Here's an example of a proper use of "in which": "Mighty Dragon Slayer is an excellent book, in which the protagonist struggles against mighty odds to defeat a dragon." See, we're talking about what goes on inside the book... which refers to the book, saving us the trouble of repeating its full title. The pronoun has a clear antecedent. In your case, though... "I asked a Very important question that got deleted. Inwhich i seen no reason for that." That makes no sense. Take a look at this: "I asked a very important question that got deleted. I see no reason for that." Perfectly clear, perfectly straightforward. In an attempt to make your writing look more... I don't know, intellectual?... you actually make it look worse. |

You asked about what types of things input() can take. Lots of people know that one. Actually, the question was originally mine and it was intended to be answered with a number. I was questioning the exact amount of entries that could be used in an input. I noticed that when I tryed to use all types of turfs as the list for input, it returned with a half-completed list. Furthermore, this question is about a feature of byond, which I believe is a listed reason for posting on the General sub-forum. -Kosher |

Suggestions for the language, however, often do. The latter is a suggestion for how to improve the engine, whereas the former is basically just a programming query. Lummox JR |
I kinda know how you feel, about 3 of my posts were deleted for seemingly no reason at all. This is the babble forum so I made a few "babbling" posts yet they were gone by the time I refreshed the page.

Language questions don't go in General. Suggestions for the language, however, often do. The latter is a suggestion for how to improve the engine, whereas the former is basically just a programming query. Perhaps they should be more specific when they post General as for being for inquerying about byond features, among other things. I believe it can be argued that either would work for my specific question, but you are right as well Lummox, the coding forum would've been more appropriate since there is a possibility that in fact, my problem is with my code rather than a problem involving byond's limitations. I have to agree with Lesbian Assassin here(Finally!), as you would say, Inwhich by using the word Inwhich, you have forced me to "seen" to understand why its such an annoying word. I also want to know why you call admins "Pathetic" for doing what they feel was right, and considering their job is to cut the forum of what I like to call "forum polution". You don't recycle soda cans in the garbage can, and you don't throw away foam cups in the recycle ben. In other words, you don't put questions where they don't belong on the forums, and if they are garbage and can't be recycled to another spot, they will simply have to be trash compacted and destroyed.

His post could have simply been moved, but if the moderators are tired of moving his posts from the wrong spot so often, who can blame them for just deleting it? If a person knows better, they're just being rude to the moderators by posting in the wrong place. Lummox JR |
You know better than to post this kind of thing in general, with that kind of topic. If you want to keep your threads intact, post in the proper places.
