Just an interesting thought..
What is everyones lives lik outside of byond? can you describe it?
Ive been out of work for nearly a year and a half now, unable to become employed due to a disability which prevents me from listening to authority when it contradicts my own interests.
Since then Ive thought of ways to make money through self employment.
Since then Ive been struggling by every month. Ive received some help but have only recently thought of taking it. Right now Im taking A++ certification courses.
Im also waiting till the beginning of the school year to retrieve my transcripts to hand in to legal aide to fight disability to allow me to get on it.
At this time Ive asked for spare computer junk from friends all around me, and ill be buying some wood or metal to make an artpiece ive been working on for the last 2 weeks.
At the same time, Im receiving help from friends to aid me in designing a good enough business plan that would win any bank manager over and allow me to create a small business.
if any one of those become a success Im free of this drudgery of playing video games because thats the cheapest form of entertainment.
And yet, throughout all that. I will still remain on Byond. No matter what games i play Ill still remain in this community until the day it crashes permanently. AND EVEN THEN I will try to adopt it and host it myself.
Well, thats my current life right now. thats about it.

Lets see, I currently am big into Martial Arts and attend Jeet Kun Do classes every Saturday morning, Wednesday evening, and Friday afternoon. I currently am on a sleeping and waking schedule for when school starts(I used to stay up all night, even on Friday when I have to go to JKD class in the morning.) I live in a 2 story house in the Houston suburbs where nothing goes wrong, and all the kids in my community seem to be mind controlled by an overmind... but it's ok with me since I only ride my bicycle around here, not to friendly with the kids :). I like swimming in my back yard often(3 times a week) and I also like acting like an idiot around the girl I like. Training is my basic way of life during the summer and weekends during the school year, I usually put on my wrist and boot weights to do so, this is while I keep BYOND up(The room I train in has an open doorway to the pc and I use an autoclicking program to refresh the site every couple minutes, the links are just in sight so I can see a new post.). I also like playing football(this year I'm not, I already missed the first 5 practices), and going to the mall to meet up with friends, or my local pool where some of my friends go to often, I usually don't though because I have my own. Thats my boring, pathetic way of life :) and if you read this far, you probably live a boring pathetic one too =P.

That's funny, nothing in your post surprises me a little bit. Make sure you describe your disability when you make your presentation to the loan officers... I'm sure the sympathy it elicits will help you secure your needed funds.
My life: I am a customer service representative at a large inbound call center (being an inbound call center, I'm not going to identify which company, because we get enough prank calls as it is.... there are enough call centers in this accent-free area of the midwest that I'm not worried about anyone finding me by pure chance.) Although I've been asked repeatedly to apply for a job higher up, until I get HRH off the ground, I'm not looking to take on more responsibilities. I am good at my job, and have received several positive citations and company awards for my pleasant manner and my ability to see problems from multiple points of view (unlike some people, I recognize that doing what is required of me by a paying employer is in my best interest, even if it runs directly counter to my natural inclinations.) I live with Kimberly, my girlfriend of two to three years (we had a long distance correspondence for a year, been together for two years since then), a roommate who is a long-haul truck driver, and a cat named Flats. Kimberly is older than I am, which doesn't bother either one of us. In many things, we have vastly different tastes, although we've both broadened each other's horizons in the time we've been together. As I've never managed to master the subtle art of piloting a mass of metal down a paved surface, I've got her in the habit of walking most places that are within a few miles, when time isn't an issue. We're both avid readers (another habit I encouraged in her), and we enjoy reading books togehter, taking turns reading chapters or passages aloud. I especially enjoy this, as it's the only way I can make a book last these days. We're also all roleplayers, including live-action, pen and paper, and computer. My day goes like this: Get up in the morning (or thereabouts), do whatever errands need doing with Kimberly, then we go to work in the late afternoon. Get home around 11:30 at night, I cook dinner, we eat together and watch taped TV shows or movies. Then, we read together or work on some mutual computing project, then she goes to bed and I work on my games. (If anyone's wondering where I find the time to use the forums, there's a computer in every room of the apartment, and doing this doesn't require much in the way of time, energy, or attention from me.) | |
I sit and watch tv,play GT3,Eat,Sleep,and Watch the fast and the furious.I have a low attention span at school.Im not on the good side of my principle.I had 2 teachers last year that liked me.I had one teacher who had drastic mood changes and that has scared me off 7th grade teachers.Im studying c++,DM,and PHP.I am currently trying to start a video game that is Fast and the furious,driver,GTA3,gran tourismo 3 based.Thats my life

Have you ever thought about paragraphs. Im sure you have a lot of interesting things to say, but I cant read most of your posts past a few sentances becuase its all one paragraph. No offence intended, just a suggestion.

I actually hate paragraphs, I put enough spacing in my signature. Besides, I don't see whats so hard about reading one crammed up paragraph.

There's no structure to an unindented and unparagraphed mess of literary thoughts. It's the difference between a rant and a topic. That's the same reason why SSGX's posts are illegible at times -- unless they're short and to the point, it looks like one big block of sentences, which is far too much for a human mind to break down and understand without substantial effort.
You don't have to stick to the classic "5 sentences per paragraph, 3 paragraphs" structure, but you do have to make paragraphs. It's how you throw bones to people, so they don't have a bone to pick with you. | |
Heh... I too am still lacking a Driver's License... At 21 years of age, and I have yet to drive (legally)...
I get all kinds of shocked inquisitions as to why not... No one can accept that it just isn't really that big of a deal for me... They can't fathom that I can operate without a car...lol Quite frankly, I've never had the drive to drive (lol)... No fascination with cars... No "I hate my parents so much that I need to get a car to get away from them" kind of emotions... No real reason to put forth the effort of getting a car, license, insurance, gas, etc... I'm just too lazy and it's too much crap to deal with for what I see as too little reward...lol Sure, there are times when I think to myself that there's something I want to do but can't because I can't get there...lol But those times aren't strong enough to overcome my lack of motivation... Luckily for me the town I live in isn't really that big... I can get around it without having to drive... Although inclimate weather really sucks...and being Ohio, there's plenty of that...lol But again, I've always been able to find a way to get by... Oh well, at least I'm not spending all of my money on car upkeep, gas, insurance, etc...lol | |
Really I can't always tell when I need to space it out unless I'm actually paying attention to what I'm writing, pssh like I ever do that. I can read them fine though when I check them for errors and other things. I guess this could be because I wrote them and don't really notice anything.

Heh... My posts are rarely "short and to the point"...lol
I'm a firm follower of the "stream of consciousness" school of posting...lol As for breaking lengthy posts up into paragraphs, I tend to follow the "new paragraph with a new thought" method... And since sometimes, my thoughts run on and on...some of my paragraphs tend to do the same... But oh well, most of the time I don't really care if anyone's paying attention... I sometimes just post to think "out loud"... Much like talking to myself, only electronically...lol | |

Born in San Antonio, Texas August 1, 1967, lived in Houston for a time, then we smartened up and move to Atlanta, Georgia. Grew up there until about 22, then moved to New Hampshire when my dad transfered there while working for Honeywell as a Systems Analyst. From the age of 7 on I've been exposed to numerous computers, from Radio Shack's TRS-80 Model I and Color Computer, to Commodore's VIC20, C64, and Amiga, to Sun SPARC workstations, to mainframes and L6 minicomputers from Honeywell.
Were my resume complete historically, I would have a list of job experiences roughly 10 pages long. I've done McDonalds, Arby's, PizzaHut delivery (via scooter), Kroger, Safeway, Builder's Square, K-Mart, local arcade game repair, Mall security guard (while I was in the AirForce Reserve), courier, PVC lawn furniture delivery boy, Amway, data-entry for Sprint, part-time teacher for PageMaker and Photoshop, and nearly a dozen other small jobs that I can't recall. Throughout this time I learned BASIC, COBOL and Pascal programming, eventually graduating to VisualBASIC and C/C++, then dumping it all for HTML, Javascript and PHP/MySQL (the current skillset). Met Ulrike via post (she was looking for someone else that we both knew), where we wrote weekly for about two years until she invited me to come to Europe. In late March of 2000 she can over to visit me a second time, we travelled cross country to visit my mom (who moved to Colorado in '98), then flew to Germany - where I have been ever since. I've seen and done the North American bit (lucky to have parents that liked to travel every year), including Canada (my mom is from Newfoundland) and parts of Mexico. So now it is time to experience Europe and Asia. I'm sorry to say - no, no - I am happy to say that I like Europe much better. There are far fewer hypocrites and jerks here than in the U.S. - certainly a more open-minded people hereabouts. And talk about beautiful women (mentally and physically)! Yowsa! Currently finishing up the paperwork for putting digitalmouse international on the map as a real website programming company (finally!). End of August should see me with a brand-spanking new business license. Then I can starting having fun: paying more taxes! Whee! Nearly had my single-engine pilots license (ran out of money for the lessons) in 1992, and hope to try again once the new business settles down. Currently trying to learn German well enough so that I can expand my client base beyond just the english-speaking businesses, and exploring Germany by train and bicycle... | |
