What video game do you think would make the best movie? I think the Metal Gear Solid series would make an awsome movie, even though the games are the closest game I've ever seen to a movie. Hopefuly it would be directed by the guy who made the games (Hideo something). But I don't think they will cause the games are just as intertaing. MGS2 has the best story I've ever seen in a game along with superb graphics and voice acting, the detail is incredible too. But I still think it would make a great live action movie. I think Val Kilmer would make a great Snake(even though hes not one of my favorite actors, he has the perfect voice for it).

Ick. Metal Gear Solid was believable. Metal Gear Solid 2 was way too far into being a hokey conspiracy-theory and a "moral" designed to be a thin veil around the actual point of the game (which was to be a sequel).

MGS2 was a great game, but its story is nothing to be proud of. Metal Gear Solid, on the other hand, had a message that I found a lot more profound -- "It doesn't matter if you live or die; just live" as opposed to MGS2's "we choose our destinies, and what we want to pass on" -- and had a gripping storyline all the way through that wasn't a cliché.

Well what I look for in a story is that 'it could actually happen' feeling. A great example is The Matrix. How do we know that there's not a group of people controlling everything. I'll admit it was a little cliche, but it was still very intertaining. It was also a little far-fechted though, this was supposed to take place in 2008 I believe and there was already advanced AI, we don't even have basic AI... or do we? Mabey the Patriots are keeping something from us... IT'S A CONSPIRICY! The end was kind of corny though, but it left a good opening for a sequal.

Another but better Final Fantasy. Or A Quake Movie Would be cool.

Quake has no plot.

Ooh! Aliens vs. Predator! Wait a second...
Two words: Marble Madness

:D
Okay, seriously, how about Maniac Mansion?

So... You could still make a movie about it.

Lol, that would be as bad as Godzilla vs. King Kong or even worse... Mecha Kong. King Kong was like 30 feet tall and Godzilla was over 100 feet tall, yet when they fought they were the same size. Hmmm... IT'S THE PATRIOTS!

Actually (if I remember correctly) the Matrix was around the year 2199 (And ive seen the movie about 20 times(literaly, I own it.))

I was talking about MGS2.
River City Ransom. 90 minutes of random cartoonish street fighting!

BlackDeath was working on a game...mimicing that game and like a lot of his other games was never finished/released. Along with his deathmatch game Carnage, which was pretty good for what it was.

NM, I got confused somewhere along the line.

Actually they were going to make that a few years ago.... Unfortunately, for reasons unknown, the project was ruined and that golden billion dollar movie was trashed! Alright, I know everyone here can't hold back, so grab your torches and lets burn down Fox!

I wouldn't mind seeing a Final Fantasy movie that actually had to do with a game from the SERIES! I want to know what kind of doobie they were puffing when Sony made that newer Final Fantasy movie.... I have one of their older movies called, "Final Fantasy: Legend of the Crystals", not the greatest movie and not in 3d, but 20x better then the one that came out at the movies. What I want to see is a Final Fantasy 7 movie, that would be great plus you don't have to use fancy graphics, just use the ones from the game and make more scenes. Well, actually it might be better to not make one considering most video game movies are horrible, the best one I have seen is Resident Evil, even though it didn't really stay true to the game(IE: That girl killed the dogs in melee combat... if I recall, in the game, it took like 20 shots to kill one dog.).

Quake II has a plot, actually, but it's nothing special.

I wouldn't mind a Half-Life movie (assuming it was actually done by people who have actually played the game, rather than by stupid directors following directions of studio execs who try to make it "better"), but Quake is right out.

Actually, considering how bad movies about games usually turn out, Half-Life wouldn't be good either.
