Future RPGMaker2k....but better? I don't know what this is YET, but if you find out before I do, post it, please. Anyways, here is the link.

WorldForge is a free project dedicated to providing a standardised scripting language and a client/server package for hosting MUDs and roleplaying-oriented games.

It's essentially BYOND in a more technical form. Unfortunately, I've been checking on WorldForge for the better part of three years, and it's made about as much progress as I have on Battle for Solaris in the past month or so. In other words, almost no progress at all.
