Ok, im very bored and im very tired of waiting for other game companies to notice me. Im sick and tired of waiting for my bank to say no to my loans.
Im sick of studying computer code only to get nowhere. Im a game designer, not a game coder.
Plain and simple.. Anyone who takes making games seriously and wants to have a chance at making money in doing what they like come on in. Everyone who wishes to be critical, indecisive, or cynical. your free to do this aswell.
My goal, My aim is to have coders of all ages of all walks of life, get together and create a game. an online game. and not linear ones like slayers, el kardian, uo, and the REST of them.
This would be in your spare time, and im not looking for great artists , look at runescape. that game is fun but its been clubbed repeatedly with an ugly stick.
I cant garauntee payment, but i can garauntee that if theres any donations or contributions they will be spread evenly amongst those who contribute to the developement that are on the staff.
Im not in this to make money, im in this to make a game that will get Anarchy-games noticed.
If that ever occurs youd all be in for an easy ride.
Now, right now all i want in this discussion board would be questions, criticism and the like.. if you want to sign up my email is
[email protected]
and if you are signing up please mention how you could contribute. like.. webmaster/concept artist/forum moderator (if we get that far) If you can code just tell me what you would prefer coding. this wont be done in byond and will be a fresh and totally original game Client.
Just so you dont have to ask later, my contribution will be quite simple. keeping things in order, making sure things run smoothly, making sure any contributions are equally divided, keeping track of everyone and what they have done recently. and moreover , making sure nobody screws the rest of us over. After all I will have to Write up contracts for everyone to sign.. if you are under-age then i would have to call your house personally and cover it all with your parents.
Anybody who doesnt think that is a full job in itself are free to try doing it themselves. Now as ive stated before. this wont be an obligation. the contract would be simple an NDA meaning you cant release information about the projects you work on or happen to see. The NDA will also keep you safe as it will also limit my freedoms in regards to saying your out. in other words.. i cant boot you without a damn good reason. Well the Contract wont be set up until enough people sign up.
And people wont sign up unless they like the idea.
So please, by all means reply freely to this thread, tell me your ideas. this could very well be your ticket to creating your own games aswell.
and once again, my email is
[email protected]

So, if I sign up, I'm your Beeyotch just so you can make a game? Dat is whack.
|
well, at the same time id be your beeyotch aswell.
And afterwards you could have your own game developed right after this one. and this one isnt even a thought yet. i have no idea what itll be like.. thats up to everyone to decide. And think about it sariat, if anarchy-games makes alot of money from this game, or we get companies to sponsor the games, we could go gold. meaning. $$$$$$ and resources |
There's a tremendous irony in a company called Anarchy-Games taking on a gaggle of programmers under non-disclosure agreements.
I'm still scratching my head over how anyone else is supposed to benefit from this. On the off chance that a random group of people can assemble to make a tremendous game, or even a semi-decent one (and keep in mind, collaboration failures gave us some of our DBZ gems), I don't see how the people involved would be in for "an easy ride". Games don't magically make gigantic profits even if they're successful; you have to keep producing. If you mean that anyone involved would shoot to the top of the gaming industry... I don't see how that's supposed to happen either, even in the event of a success. Step 1: Collect underpants. Step 2: ? Step 3: Profit! Lummox JR |
well, for one thing, this isnt going to be limited to byond. and the failures of collaboration are not 100% elsewhere. i merely posted here on the forum because many able, young, intelligent people with spare time can benefit from this just as i could.
Of course that which i just referred to excludes you, as you are not able, or intelligent |

It's true that collaboration isn't always a failure--it isn't even here. But consider your recruiting pool. It's hard to organize anything, let alone a project that will take months, even years of diligent work to get off the ground. That's just cold reality. It takes extraordinary vision to do something like that, and a good place to start is to actually have a game in mind to start with. Of course that which i just referred to excludes you, as you are not able, or intelligent Way not to degenerate into a flamewar, there, Dareb. Bravo. Lummox JR |
Hope you don't have to write the speeches... heh, you eat "donates".

i find how i replied to you to mimic your attitude towards me, with your smartass comments 100% reaction and involuntary, perhaps one day youll use your dark powers for good.
As for the length of time it would take. well i know all that. Making a game is not an easy process. |

If you are going to turn this into a flamefest, im going to close this thread. Any more insults from you and I won't hesitate to do so. This thread still has valid information for anyone wishing to join your company, or whichever, so im hoping everyone is smart enough to keep it clean. Alathon\\ |

You'll notice, though, I didn't insult you in what I said. A bit sarcastic and nitpicky I certainly was, but if you'd wanted to mimic that, it should have been possible to do it without getting nasty. Lummox JR |
Alathon you so readily excuse lummoxjr for his past and present insults to everyone.
Even if they are well time they are no better. I dont care if hes a moderator, I'll do as others do when they arent corrected |

that wasnt nasty, you've insulted my intelligence many times over. what is the difference? The difference is that most of my comments aren't geared as insults; they are, however, often left open-ended for you to take them as you want. That's not an insult, so much as extending a fist and telling someone that if they choose to walk into it, it's their affair. It's a very different thing from insulting someone outright. I have insulted you in the past--just not the recent past. Lummox JR |
