Neither system is an effective method for choosing a leader. You don't deserve to rule just because your daddy is a ruler, and you don't deserve to rule just because you have enough money to run a successful deception campaign and fool the ignorant masses into believing you know what's best for them. Politics are just one big circus in which clowns elect slightly more charismatic clowns to control aspects of their lives. You shouldn't take it seriously, you should just sit back and enjoy the show. | |
Kind of a pacifist approach to it, which isn't terrible, but we're dealing with human beings, not robots. The human element is still present in at least some of the politicians you see. It's not too hard to look at someone's track record and determine whether or not they're more honest than the rest. It's not that all politicians are corrupt, it's just the one's who have an ulterior agenda tend to be the loudest voices with the most money backing them.
