Haha...I just got back from the Soybean Festival in my town.
I saw so many rednecks there and there were these dudes playin the fiddle. Then there was these wars against the Rebels and the Brothers...it was hilarious...Well post your comments on your 'Festival' of your town if you even have one.

There are actually quite a few annual area festivals...

Norwalk (my city) is the county seat of Huron County, so we have the county fair every year...

We also have a "Strawberry Festival" in the spring...

And in this city is the Norwalk Raceway Park, which happens to be a big name in international drag racing... So there's an uptown event every year called "Night Under Fire"...

The local catholic school holds a festival every year as well...

The nearby city of Milan has a Melon Festival every year...

Sandusky (half an hour north, home of Cedar Point) is the county seat of Erie County, so they have their county fair...

There's all kinds of them around here...

But the only one I even went to this year was the Strawberry Festival...lol I just don't have the time or the desire strong enough to make time...

The county fairs are the usual farming-based exhibitions... 4H stuff, animal barns and shows, demolition derbies, etc... Some of the run of the mill carnival rides... A craft show or two... Tons of festival food (about the only redeeming part...lol gotta love a good plate of fried vegetables with a gyro or a philly steak sandwich... and a big elephant ear or funnel cake for dessert...)

The only reason I went to the Strawberry festival was because they held it uptown on main street this year, like the old days... (for the stretch in the middle, they moved it out to the fairgrounds) So it was neat to get to walk up and down a big chunk of main street and to ride a carnival ride in the middle of the street...lol

But other than that, I think I'm getting too old for this stuff...lol
