Musical Categories (Please help!)

I am not a musical expert nor do I take interest in the categories of songs that I listen too :P

I am in need of a list of categories, IE; Jazz, Pop, Rock, etc.(They are the only ones I can think of so far hehe)

So I would appreciate it if someone could help me and produce a list.

Go to http://www.mp3.com. There is a list of genres on the left. Each genre is also a link to genres within that genre.

emo is a sorry excuse for music...its punk music, but the singer whines about his girlfriend leaving him for 15 songs in a row...in my opinion, it is terrible, except for the ataris and rufio, thats all the emo i like
