Less dithering focus more on shading assuming it's a glass or glossy cup light bounces.

It's just his preferred style, I assume. Most artists tend to have one.

I like green, and I also like to include a fair bit of black in my work. The style is supposed to mimic older graphical styles of ancient technology. The palette was inspired by the Game Boy.
