I prefer motorcycles - quite fond of my dad's 1993 Honda GL1500 Goldwing. I had fun blowing the doors off of the neighbor's Viper, the occassional BMW, and my friend's Porsche 924 turbo. Hard to beat the acceleration of a 1500cc fuel-injected flat-six motorcycle. And the bike was awesome on cross-country trips - like a Caddy convertible on two wheels! I hear my dad has got a 2000 model now - love to see what it could do...
As far as cars are concerned - I used to travel with the boss in his BMW station-wagon on weekly trips to clients. Cruising at 180-200 km/h for a 20-30 minute run between Bremen and Hamburg was quite impressive. Volkswagens seem to be a bit suped-up over here too. My colleague's Passat tops-out at 180, but could keep that speed easily for long periods of time without trouble. |
I would definitely say the 2002 Dodge Viper is nice. I also like a custom machine, known as the "field Camaro". Pretty much a Camaro 'vertable souped up for off-road/on-road use. I used to love Lambo's, then I watched a stock Viper versus a stock Lambo Diablo do a quarter mile strip, 12.5 under the Lambos 13.8... :) Not like you'll ever use any of that speed in America anyways, but accelleration is nice. Other than that, I like the 1996 Pontiac Sunfire, one of my favorite young ladies drives one of these, very nice teen car. Soft-top Wranglers are nice too. The list goes on and on... does anyone know what the car Chester from Linkin Park drives? Purple, monster convertable, very cool. You can see it if you download the LP episode of MTV Cribs.
I would say my favorite car would be the field Camaro. |

Why don't any of you like classic cars?

Probably for the same reason I dislike "classic" music, such as classic rock, classic oldies. Although I do like classicAL..... hmm.

Obviously you guys aren't real car finatics...First of all, imports suck. I spank Eclipses and Celicas all the time. Now don't get me wrong, some of them are nice. Personally, I like the S2000 and the new Neon that's coming out (whew! check it out). I'm sure you're probably wondering what I drive right about now. Well, I'm in a 1989 Firebird Formula. Muscle cars for life! Favorite car would probably have to be the 79 Trans Am, or a 68 Camaro

Ummmm...a Viper vs a Diablo? Get real. A Viper barely does 0-60 in 4 seconds. The Diablo does it in 3. You can't honestly tell me that a Diablo lost to a Viper, that's a bunch of crap. The Viper has maybe around 450-475 hp, and the Diablo has 550-600. Viper beats a Diablo? I don't think so. Thats like a Civic against a Trans Am.

For as far back as I can remember, I've wanted a Camaro IROC Z28... Bright red with silver trim along the bottom...
And not the old model, or the new model... But the middle style from the '80s... |

First of all, imports suck. True - American imports to Europe and Japan do suck. They give us these tuned-down crappy models... Must be an American thing because I've seen Porsches, BMWs, Nissans and Celicas in the U.S. that are far slower than their European/Asian counter-parts. |
