I bought a new game yesterday, and I went to install it today. I got it installed, and started it up, but it wouldn't let me play. A window came up saying I needed to switch my Color Setting to "32 bit True Color" but when I go to adjust them, the highest is 24 bit High Color...Any suggestions on how to get the 32 bit on my computer?
Buy a better moniter.
I know I don't keep up to date with the latest games and game hardware as much as I should, but could you please tell me what sort of torture device actually requires 32-bit color? There should at least be a setting for 16-bit. There's nothing in the game options?

The game is The Elder Scrolls 3 Morrowind. I didn't see anything on changing to 16 bit, but I'm looking for updates.

1.) I'm looking for a cheap, easy way to get it changed.
2.) It's monitor, not moniter.

heh My friend just got Morrowind too and has the same problem. It just means you need to get a new video card that supports 32bit mode unfortunantly for my friend his video card is hardwired in and there are no compatible expansion slots for a new video card :P.

The monitor has nothing to do with the display type, it's the video card, a 4 meg video card should be able to go up that high, I know mine does.
Try decreasing your resolution. A lot of times, higher bit color is only available on the lower resolutions. You might get it at 640x480, if not 800x600.

On my system, for example, I can only go in 32-bit at a setting of 1280x1024 or less.
