I just got back from this one dudes house I dont even know, we had a 4 X-Box/Halo tourney with 27 people at the house...lots of pizza and pop. It was awesome. I rule with the Sniper Rifle and Rocket Launcher. I had a record of Kills:282 Assists:57 Deaths:38. We have these once a month. My favorite map is "Wizard" and I choose a black colored Soldier. On a side note, this guys brother named "Greg" was acting gay saying "I was killed by that stupid N*gger". I took offence to that because i'm half black and proud of it, so I socked him in the jaw even though he's 15 years old (2 years younger than me). He was also getting annoying when he turned on Country music loud as hell, and everyone who was at least over 18 called him a queer and kicked him out. After that, we watched a movie and I drove home.
So who has had/enjoys LAN games with HALO or any other game?

If he meant that, he should've said it. You might as well say to Branks, "You know what that kid meant by [insert word that rightly offended Branks here]." Fact is, for Branks to judge that kid for his language and then call him gay or queer is a little like the pot calling the kettle... um... cookware.

So who has had/enjoys LAN games with HALO or any other game? Once I got together with four other friends for a Diablo II gaming session shortly after that game came out. They'd originally meant to burn copies of the game for those who didn't have one (which included me), but the game turned out to be protected, so after some waffling they went to the store to buy more copies, gifting me with one as an early birthday present. (It turned out to get somewhat more use than the birthday joint previously mentioned in the marijuana thread.) I had gotten the cheapest ethernet card I could find for the occasion... cheapest, in case my sense of ethics took over when I went to return the thing after one day of use. We were delighted at the revelation that each of the character classes in Diablo fit one of us. There was a barbarian for giant Mike, a necromancer for pale skinny Sean, a paladin for Justin who always played paladins, a sorceress for wily Sarah, and an amazon for me. Except Sarah said she didn't want to be a magic-user, so I had to play the sorceress instead. (I had to. We each had to be a different class. You understand.) Despite the fact that my computer was below the minimum requirements for the game, I kept up well enough to play for several hours, which were extreme fun. Then I lost my connection and spent the rest of the night staring into space, pacing around the apartment, and asking for help from my "friends," three of whom were computer experts or professionals and all of whom refused to stop playing and come try to figure out what was wrong with my card. It sucked. (It was not wholly surprising, though... there's a reason I rarely get together with my friends anymore.) The next day I took out my ethernet card and returned it, writing on the Staples form that it "hadn't worked well" where a reason was asked. And I felt absurdly guilty, and still do, about buying something with the intention of using it once then returning it... despite the fact that damn it, the card *didn't* work well. Now, the time when it was working was so much fun, I have wanted many times since to be able to get together and play over LAN with people in the same room. I read an article not too long ago, in Salon I think, about the culture of such gaming parties becoming more popular. Maybe some day I'll find a group near where I live. Z |
well, i and a friend down my road can LAN our two pcs, so i kick his butt on which ever game we feel appropiate.
