I'm coining that term before Leftley does. It means Completely Generic Roll Playing Game. Yes, Roll Playing, not Roleplaying. That means dice, not acting! You kill stuff, you don't pretend to be something important.

Anyway, actually what I'm posting this for is because I uploaded some examples of the variety (ha!) of customizations available for each character to use in their icons. Each player's icon is actually a composite of their body, head, shield and primary weapon. There are, so far, about 40+ different types of bodies that you can have, and they depend on whether you're wearing a cloak, robe or armor. About a dozen shields and countless weapons.

So, here's some examples:

Anyway, feel free to throw random garbage at me concerning what you see on that site. Just remember that, as of now, it's 4:23am, and I don't have a whole lot of mental power.

Oh yes, and 95% of the weapon icons are from some free roguelike graphics. About 60% of the shields are too. The equipped armor graphics are about 80% drawn by me. Everything is based off roguelike graphics and stuff.

So, yeah. Enjoy.
Can I use that ninja graphic? o_o

Alternatively, where did you get those "free roguelike graphics" that you mentioned?

(Nice icons, BTW. :P)
look like fire emblem guys

As of now, there are 60 types of garb, including Armor, Robes, Cloaks, Capes and Sleeveless-robes. Also a few types of basic clothing available for people who aren't equipped with anything. Although, it might be fun to just start everyone out naked.

20 different types of shields.

41 different weapons. (Well, kinda different. Some of them are just modified versions of other kinds.)

Yeah... Anyway, there isn't any demand to post more stuff so I'm not going to.

I thought they looked more like the people made out of bits and pieces of roguelike graphics.

In addition to the link he got them from, I also have them on my graphics archive at:

Under Angband graphics (it's the first one). It also has some modifications I've made with them.

Here are some screenshots from it:

Note the incredible similarity between the characters. :-)

Woah! Are you sure you didn't get mixed up and link back to the roguelike graphics archive? That's surreal!

Still, don't really see a resemblence. Side-viewed video game characters are so common that attributing them solely to an obscure Japanese game (was it ever translated?) is kinda silly.

And anyhoo, we're mostly just playing around here... no reason to get upset.

Yeah. I might believe in sarcastically joking about anything and everything, but you're known for much worse. :P

Foomer's nose was shown to be a little 'o'. I'm guessing he has cut down on the monkey snorting so you can let that go.

Baby steps, Foomer. Baby steps.
