I don't get it ._.

The ghost can possess objects to move them across pits!

The girl still has terrible motor functions... sliding around without moving her legs, the indecency!

She's possessed isn't she?

Haven't had a post for a while.
Updated UI a bit, slightly redesigned cards to be less busy while still containing relevant info and added more cards. Currently sat at around 165. Going to add a few more then get the game ready for testing.
Should have all that done by Wednesday/Thursday at the latest.
It's clearly Yugimon The Gathering of Duelmasters.

I've been researching various card games.

Pokemon is the best but it's designed with kids in mind so it lacks strategic depth compared to some other games. On the other hand it's been consistent over the years and rarely adds new rules just to keep the game from going stale.

There are two card games that stick out in my mind that I never seen anyone else talk about.

Duel Masters had an option to enable a real-time battle system. You didn't take turns placing cards. Instead, iirc, you'd place cards and then those monsters had a timer similar to something like FF7 where, after a period of time, they'd be able to attack. So you had to look at your hand, see which cards you wanted to use and which you wanted to use as mana, summon cards, cast spells, keep track of the timers, and try to figure out how to deal with the opponent's threats and take out their shields all at the same time.

I also adored the card battles in Digimon World 3. In fact I wish card battles were the main focus of the game as opposed to just some mini-game in between the standard monster battles. I love how simple and quick it is. A more fleshed out version of it would be amazing as an app on Google Play. You can have Pokemon GO, just give me Digimon World 3 card battles on my phone and I'm good to go.

I actually second Empirez comments on Digimon World 3. The TCG in it was spectacular, aside from actually obtaining the damn packs from those trees. Lol. Duel Masters sounds interesting. I got one pack of the cards that I still have, but never got to actually try anything with it. It died out so fast. I guess because Yugioh was still in its prime back then.

Edit: This also reminds me of Dungeon Dice Monsters. Another awesome side thing that died out way too quickly.
Less talking and more pics.

Had to go with giphy because imgur keeps screwing it up.

Even so, both sites murder color quality for some reason.

I actually added a nebulous color pattern as a layer in the lighting system to give a similar effect to Hyper Light Drifter's lighting and I really like it. I'll probably rework the lighting system for Lux with a similar system.

This gif also shows the completion of probably the simplest version of the rooms that may be present.

Are you sure the colour quality murder isn't just the fact that it's a gif? gifs only have 256 colours.

Also from the gif I'd say the wall (the one for the puzzle) becomes passable too soon, as the girl seems to walk through it while it's still moving down.

imgur/giphy reduces the colors further it seems, as the gif file I have still looks much better than what ends up online.

Yeah, I fixed the timing on it after I first noticed it but I didn't want to record a whole new gif.

Finally added enough cards for testing. About 150ish (excluding the 21 mana cards).

Will spend rest of today fixing obvious bugs and preparing it for easy testing, tomorrow will probably be when I let people in to test it.
Hey, I don't know if this still is a huge thing, but I've been improving in iconning. Here are some just for fun icons I did, inspired by Steven Unvierse.
