Looks super cool.
Not really anything that can be seen visually, but I took the time to overhaul how backgrounds/foregrounds/screen effects/etc work in Lux.

It now uses 3 screen objects and 3 images.

The images are used for parallax backgrounds and foregrounds (2 backgrounds, 1 foreground).

I don't use the foreground in any areas yet, but I'd like to include it in the future.

As for the screen objects, those are used for static or screen effects.

One is used as a curtain, this is specifically to fade the screen in and out.

The second is a static background color that is basically just a fill for any spots which don't have a parallax background in it. This is used primarily in outdoor areas as a sky color.

Finally, there is a static object that is used just to place art on the screen. The Sun/planet in the background of the Tower areas uses this object to be displayed. It's also relatively dynamic, as it's layer/plane can be set depending on the room, which is pretty nice.

With these changes, the background should no longer bug out due to reused map layers, and it should allow me to make some more interesting backgrounds/foregrounds/etc.

Nothing too fancy, but I'm working on using the Interface more with my next project, Dark Space. It's a mix of Dead Space (in terms of inspiration/setting), rpg elements, and current popular games like Destiny and The Division and hopefully it'll be something cool.

Gonna be taking my time with this one. I'm not too familiar with using the interface, but as you can see it can bring up an inventory, a list of who's online and where they are in-game, as well as a Map for fast-travel purposes.

That room looks 2 small to be fighting a big ass dude with a big ass axe e.e

Would be legit if you got him to destroy a wall that reveals a secret area.

I've already told him about having boss fights in cramped ass rooms.

Bruh. Are you no longer a believer?

Reminds me of the bastard black knight on top of the tower in the undead parish.

I been down since day one.
basically the capra demon of the game

God damn awful capra demon. The capra demon's an asshole because he has pets, not because he's hard.
It's 50/50 for the hellkite and the capra demon, I've noticed. A lot of people charge that hellkite and just don't understand that the drake is an obstacle and the game is teaching you that it's best to sometimes bypass a challenging enemy until you are better prepared.

And yeah, I see your point. The capra demon really does force you to use dodging and it also comes at a point where you've probably screwed yourself by equipping gear that makes you much less mobile.

Slight confession ive never actually 100%ed a ds game the few times i played ds (Bloodborne not included <3 me some bloodborne) ive only played a boss or a small area my cousin got annoyed with :P. I've watched some videos but they were just small clips nothing actually to in depth about the game :P.

Then mlg pvp montages.
If you haven't played Epoch yet, I highly encourage you to try it sometime(preferably with a friend). There's a definite difficulty curve to get past, but anyone who has some rougelike/RPG experience should be good to go!

I still have three dungeons(that I know of) to complete and have already poured around 8 hours into the game. There's a lot of story to uncover, secrets to discover, and places to explore -- easily the most engrossing and well designed game made with BYOND to date(imo, ofc).

The skills you pickup throughout the game allow you to explore the map to a fuller extent, which makes backtracking through familiar territory both rewarding and refreshing. I'll stop gushing now, but I'm pleasantly surprised with how good of a game Epoch actually is. Keep it up, Yutty. (:

How do I know that you weren't sponsored by Yut Put..

I'm not sponsoring him, but I am advocating for Epoch. We need more games of it's caliber coming from our developers.

But hey, if you don't trust my word you could always play the game yourself and see for yourself. (;

I would try it if it he made it playable on the webclient. I tried it a bit on DS and it looked promising, but on the webclient it doesn't load the map..

You played without me :c?

Webclient is shit, in my opinion. I get some people can use it fine, but I'll never touch it, personally.

@ET: Yes. :c

Yutty, Seteron14, and I have been doing a full playthrough of Yut's game, Epoch, to weed out bugs and issues last night and today. From this, I have been authorized to share some brief boss fight gifs!
