Clearly needs more particles. Might I suggest sparks with some vertical streaks going up?

I think the same thing.. it has that "oohhh what happened to me, did I just upgrade" kind of look.

Bravo, been a while since I looked in here but I'm really digging everything you've been sharing. What an exciting project. The fast action reminds me a little of Moon Patrol.

This is now the mock-up for the save rooms. The other one will be used for Upgrades. Both are still not final in terms of appearance. |

Please make two of these and place them next to each other, when you walk on the first one the animation is played on both, but on the other one it quickly builds a new robot, then switch the two mobs locations and make the new one walk off to the side.
Visually it'd look like you just built another robit, switched to it, and had the old one walk off to sit in a corner and gather dust until you loaded that save. You could even make it look sad. |

I'm sure saving could also repair the robot, so that shouldn't be too of much of a problem.

More view of the room, still need to add stuff to the background. I wanted to really push the idea that things are glowing. The save does heal the player now as well, so NYEHH~!! |
