UHF is a great comedy. It was just recently released on DVD and you can buy it for dirt cheap(I think I paid 15$).

not such a good idea since consoles have a 5 year lifespan and the ps3 or whatever they are gonna name it is gonna be out in about a year or so...but whatever floats your boat

But the same argument could be made for the next system too and why buy a computer when a better one will probably be out the next month!

The thing I was saying basically is that it IS a remote. ;) Notice when I put "Dynamix remote controller"?

Yeah! Weird Al! I got UHF as soon as I heard it had come out on DVD.

A year or two ago I saw Weird Al live in concert in Akron, and it was a great show. The only thing that I found slightly offputting was that he didn't really address the audience much. He performed nearly note-perfect renditions of many of his classics (and for those who don't know, there's much more to Weird Al's catalog than the parodies he's best known for) but he never really seemed to try to, I dunno, "personally engage" the audience. Which is fine, but it was a little surprising.

you can upgrade computers...thats why i like them more. consoles you cant...but its alot cheaper than a computer since you pay 200-300 dollars every 5 years + games.

But each upgrade has the same problem, it will just be outdated within a month or so why not wait a month :)?

If I'm not mistaken, the Playstation 2 was released in the fall of 2000. Under your reckoning of the 5-year lifespan of console systems, this still gives the PS2 about three more years until the PS3 comes out.

However, the PS3 and Xbox 2 are both slated for a 2006 release. Strong rumours hint that the Gamecube is Nintendo's last console.

don't get me wrong playstation is a capable system better then the others but the big down is..They arn't comeing up enough good games. A few but not as much.

PS2 is a capable system, I agree. But when you say that it is better than the others, what do you mean?

As far as technological capability, Xbox and Gamecube both beat it fairly well.

The part where PS2 *is* way ahead of the game is in the sheer amount of good titles that it already has under its belt (a lot more than both systems put together).

However, both Xbox and Gamecube are far outperforming the PS2 in new titles recently.
