Those of us of Irish descent have little to be proud of... we came over after the Indians were pretty well taken care of. Lucky for us, that gave us a niche to occupy on the low rung of the ladder.

How proud are you, though? The Spanish didn't exactly buy the Aztec Empire for $20 worth of beads...

Now, I know this was meant only in jest, as Sariat explained to me after I replied to the same message in the pager, but I feel I still need to defend myself against that last line.

1.) I didn't kill anyone, nor do I have the desire to start.

2.) I haven't stolen anyone's land, and, again, I don't have any desire to do that either.

3.) I reserve the right not to take resposibility for the actions of others, regardless of my skin color.

4.) Just becuase I am white does not mean I am racist, evil, or out to screw your life up.

5.) As far as I know, noone in my family has ever killed anyone, or stolen anyone else's land. (Mainly becuase I have no ties to any of my family. Being an orphan has it's advantages, I suppose.) And if they did do such horrible things, I am sorry, and I hope they burn in hell for it.
