I have 2 cats, and 1 dog. My dog is a mix of Rottweiler(Oh God, I hope I know how to spell these names)/Russian Wolfhound/and Doverman. My dad bought her like 5 years ago, when we got her she weighed about 10lbs, now she is a full grown 140 lbs, about 4'5'' on all fours, on her hind legs I'm not sure, and she has a dark black coat with a white underbelly which is outlined in brown fur, short fur that is. Then my two cats are a siamese and one I'm not quite sure about, my siamese has blue eyes and is chubby, he also likes to lick a lot(Like a dog....) and is friendly to everyone, except my dog. My other cat has hazel eyes and is friendly, but usually very nervouse for some reason. My cats get along with each other, but my dog and cats don't do too well, not that they fight but they will hiss and growl every now and then, plus since my dog is so big she is usually outside so it doesn't matter to much.

Hm...let's see...6 cats that are never at peace. They always have to fight(even at 3:00 AM). And 2 dags that are afraid of cats. Anyone else find that strange?

Yea i know thats wierd my Grandmother has 2 cats and a dog and whenever i go to visit all three sleep in the same room as me the cats at the end of the bed and the dog near the door on a carpet...
The cats and the dog get along ok I guess the dog likes to tease one of the cats then it somtimes goes for the other cat and the cat slaps it 0.o |
I've just got one cat...
He's a white shorthair cat with a gray smudge on the top of his head between his ears... Hence his name, "Smudge"... Even though I rarely ever call him by his name... "Kitty, kitty" is the usual...lol He's actually getting fairly old now that I think about it... I've had him for a few years now...probably at least 6 or 7... I got him shortly after my first cat was killed by a car... (she was a white/tiger colored cat that I just named "Kitty"...lol) He's now a purely indoor cat... When we first got him, I was still worried that he'd get hit like Kitty did, so I kept him inside... But gradually, I let him go outside more and more, until he pretty much came and went as he pleased... But then one night he got hit as well... Luckily, the person who hit him stopped and told our neighbor, who got him into a cat carrier and brought him over for us to take to the vet... The vet checked him out and told us that he wasn't even badly injured...just shaken up and a bit bruised... So, since then he's been an inside cat... Every once in a while I let him out while I'm around, but he never goes very far, just walks out into the lawn, and rolls over in the grass...lol I think the accident knocked a few of his teeth out, though...because he's been missing a couple in the front for a while now... And he has this habit of letting the tip of his tongue stick out all the time...lol He's also always had this habit of climbing onto my shoulders/back whenever he gets the opportunity... I used to have a bunkbed, and he'd sit up on top and jump onto my back if I walked close enough... Or if I pick him up, he usually climbs his way up there... One time, he even climbed up my legs to my back like climbing a tree (that's not fun...lol) It's kind of neat, except for when he loses his balance, and digs his claws in (he's never been declawed)... He's also eating me out of house and home...lol I used to feed him nothing but dry food, and he was always fine with that... But while I was off at college, my father started feeding him canned food... Now, that's all he'll eat... He absolutely won't touch dry food anymore (either because he's picky, or perhaps because he can't chew it that well with his missing teeth...lol)... Oh well... I think that's about all about my cat... I've got a few old pictures of him somewhere around here, but I'm too lazy to find and scan them...lol |

Yes, it's down right now. It's up when digi is around and runnig the cam, but is shutdown when he leaves or goes to bed, or needs the system resources for other tasks. Check it periodicly, you're bound to get through eventually. PerryCam rox!

None currently becuase I live with my grandparents, but my mom has 2 cats(mother and daughter) plus 2 kittens from the daughter. She also has a dog, quite a strange mix of a dog at that, its a beagle/chow mix. The dog is really nice to people it likes and will protect them is she thinks something is dangerous but if she meets someone she doesnt like she will growl and bark and....I think the get the picture.
My dad picked up a stray cat a month or so ago and it was pregnent when he got it, so now he has her and 4 kittens. Thats about does it. |

I have one cat, Flats (formerly part of a pair with another cat named Heels, they didn't get along). Flats is known, in technicanl terms, as "an itty bitty kitty"... she's six years old, and weighs between 5 and 6 pounds. Unlike the "fat, lazy, greedy" cat stereotype, she regulates her own weight... whenever she gets over 6 pounds, she starts to eat less.
She's the only pet we have, so I guess you could say our pets get along. She's very well behaved. She'll dig her claws into the carpet, but doesn't scratch furniture or walls. She knows what furniture she's allowed on (bed, couches and chairs) and not (bookshelves, computer desks, tables). She likes music, particulary classical and new age. If I play the score from Hamlet, she'll come running... same thing when I watch the movie. She doesn't like to be alone, and will follow someone around if they're the only person home. |
I personally own a cat and a lizard. My family owns (owns makes it sound so bad)three dogs: a pug, a Jack Russel Tarrier, and a Kuvaz (sp?). I have pictures of my cat but those are on my computer at home. As to thier realtions:
Cat wants to eat the lizard very badly, wants to eat the crickets meant for the lizard too. Cat attacks the two small dogs (Pug and Tarrier). Tarrier attacks the Kuvaz (which happens to be a very large Hungarian sheepherding dog). Pug is really old, blind and deaf and just kind of sits there and barks at nothing. Lizard eats the crickets. Kuvaz lays around all day (he to is very old). But my cat is the coolest animal in the house by far. |
2 cats, err... Make that three, I took in a stray female cat, 1 cockatiel and over 20 tropical fish.
Nope, sorry man :-D
Yes, they do ^_^ -- Never thought that 3 cats and 1 bird could live peacefully but they do, they have too haha.
The newly taken in female cat is all fine, she has recently been 'done' so she is being careful and resting alot. I don't know why out of every bed in the house I live in the cats choose mine to sleep on. Even at night they sleep at the bottom of my bed lol, ontop of the covers and matress :-p
She was very very weary about humans though when we first saw her, my family that is, but since we have been feeding her and letting her stay in the house she has become quite fond of us, anyone else and she runs a mile -- What I think is that someone has abused the cat and possibly beaten her... Which is one thing I dislike alot! But, seing as I was the one who first fed, and gave sleeping places to, I guess she took a liking to me seing as each time I go to the kitchen, she always follows me thinking she will get a treat in which she does ^_^ -- Well, not all the time but 80% of the time she does, and so do the other cats.
Now I am just babbling too much haha. Time to end here ;)
