The movie comes out Dec. 18, who else is looking as forward to this movie as me. I read all three books and TT is by far the best, it will be way better than Fellowship. I know I'll be there on opening day :D

Its gonna rule! I'm going to see it that weekend if possible.

Supposedly, the movie version is heavy on combat and light on story, so it should be fun for the adrenaline junkies out there.

No, I've read all three books and there's equal amount of story, but definitly more action than the first (semi-spoiler below). Especially if they show the part where the orcs tossed the heads of the people they killed into the city they were attacking. |

I believe that Spuzzum was saying that the movie version of Two Towers is heavy on action and short on story, not the book version.
Peter Jackson told TIME magazine in an interview that the Two Towers deviates from the book more than the other two movies. For example, the battle of Helm's Deep is supposedly given more importance (though I thought the battle was already quite pivotal). I know that, so far, I am quite happy with how they portrayed the books. They have only deviated in one *major* way so far, by cutting Tom Bombadil out of the first movie. However, if you look at it, that would have made a 3-hour movie even longer. Not everyone would sit through a movie for 4 hours, no matter how good it is, and they do have to make money out of it. |

I would sit through it for 6 hours too, no problem. I have been reading the books since I was 6 or 7 years old. I was one of the happiest people in the world when I went and saw it and it didn't suck.
