I love Dev C++.I like it more than Visual C++.

Dev C++ lacks a lot of the features Visual C++ has, ones that make it harder to get things done, but that's why I use it.

However, you need a license for it. I only have it because my dad used to work on it while he was trying out programming in C++. |

Visual Basic (A monkey that throws bananas is a great demo) preinstalled of my old pcs. QBasic was the one that had the gorilla demo. (Has anyone got that, by the way? It doesn't come with Windows ME and I wanna play it.. waah... :-) ) QBasic operates in a DOS environment, and is essentially abandonware. Visual Basic uses Windows and is a commercial product that is still produced and sold by Microsoft. There's a big difference! (And yes, downloading Visual Basic off the internet IS illegal.) |

I have it =P. On my other computer, I created a basic operating system in Qbasic, because DOS was boring, I would get it, but I have no way of getting files from that computer to this one, sorry.
