Hey guys, so a week or so ago I updated BYOND to the latest version which I knew I shouldn't have since updating has caused problems for me in the past. I went ahead and did it anyway and since then I'm having severe connection issues with the client.

Whenever I try to connect to a game it will bring up the Dreamseeker and play the add, but then immediately shifts the Dreamseeker to a background process which I have to manually close down with Task Manager. The only way I've found to remedy this is to delete my cache and reacquire game resources but for some reason the client is only pulling around 5kb/s from my WIFI. I've used an Ethernet cord and it still does the same.

I thought it was my PC, but I've done a factory reset to no avail. I've rolled back to different versions. I've disabled and even deleted my antivirus. Rebooted my modem countless times. Then only program that refuses to work is BYOND. YouTube and other MMOs work fine.

I'm at a loss for what to do. I'm a pretty tech savvy guy with computers and I have no idea what to do now. I am just hoping at this point someone else has had this problem and found a way to fix it.

Thanks, and I hope one of you can help me.
What version were you running before? What OS do you use? Antivirus and firewall? Is BYOND's data dir in a place that has weird characters in the path? Is your system locale something besides English?
System Locale is English.

BYOND's data dir has no weird characters in it's path, it's installed in Program Files as it has always been.

I have no Antivirus on this computer now at all. I uninstalled and scrubbed out any trace of the one's I've installed and the standard Norton stuff that comes with it.

OS is Windows 8.

A side note: Before it went out entirely I was getting weird Null messages in the options tab when running games. Don't know if that might be something.
