I'm really interested in a well-made CCG. Dragon Guardian's project interests me greatly, and I'll be more than willing to help with any testing on this sort of thing.
A Diablo-like game, using a mouse interface and Shadowdarke's lighting system, and a pretty much identical gameplay structure as Diablo 2.
Shadowgate. A game like this would not be very challenging to make, and would be quite fun to play.
Somebody make something using this. I've been waiting for any sight of projects using this code since I released it (the hub entry date is incorrect, as it used to be the Solus GMUD System) nearly 5 months ago. I'm releasing an update on this within the next few days, with alot of wonderful documentation and a fix for the 1 known bug. As well as probably adding my skill and spell system, which will be nice.
Not really a game, but I'd like more encryption libraries as well.
A real pokemon fangame would be nice. Something that actually captures everything that is pokemon. Or, better yet. Be creative, use upgradable mechs instead of pokemon, just keeping with the same general play idea.

Looks interesting. I'm gonna see what I can cook up with that lil GMUD starter kit you have there. You never know, it might be fun.

Darke Dungeon has been compared to Diablo and I just finished integrating my lighting library (though the dark element is giving me some difficulty). The lighting library has re-awakened my interest in the project. :) It's not mouse-based though and the gameplay is quite a bit different, but they were both inspired by the same game (Rogue) and evolved along similar lines. Maybe I'll give you a sneak peek some time. ;) |

Well I am glad to hear that my efforts aren't in vain. I could use as many alpha testers as possible on my first run, I need some bug reporters and I would also love to test everything else. (System, Graphic quality, generated Lag, saving system, interface) I'm sorry to keep you waiting but I wont be able to provide a test run until the week after christmas (Providing I dont have coder's block) Also, I have to get a host (as requested) and to pay DigitalMouse I would need to gather some funds. I'm a master at finding bugs, and other errors you might overlook. After all, I look for ways to cheat, which makes me a great tester (since I actually share those ways to cheat, so you can fix them).

*excited* I wish you luck. Feel free to contact me on MSN at [email protected], or via the pager. I'm more than happy to explain things and answer questions.

Have you looked at some of the good games on the HUB? I mean, when D.D.T. thought up Dragonsnot Im sure they thought once or twice 'Hang on, this is a game about building rivers of snot, Dragon snot...' but the game was great. -DogMan |

Any bugs you know of off the bat? I've spent a little time looking at this, and it looks pretty good to me. And the battle system looks good, only thing you have to call is the Fight proc correct?

I have a project sort of in mind, but it's going to have to wait for other things. I think one of the features slated for the next release will improve interfaces to the point where it'll actually suggest directions to go with this, so I'm anxious to see the result.
I think this is doable, except possibly for Diablo's famous isometric graphics. There are certain limits to the display system that prevent isometric from working in some situations. Also of course the small icon size doesn't help that.
Still, a game similar to Diablo in 2D would kick butt.
So would I.
I may decide at some point to pick up my old MD5 project again. The MD5 hash is tricky to do in BYOND because BYOND doesn't support 32-bit math.
If people are battling mechs, then it works out to more of a BYOND version of Battlebots. That'd be cool, though.
I actually thought of something called Battle Golf using robots like that, except the more I looked into it the more I realized my ambition was ridiculous, so I started up another project instead--which still has its own problems, but fewer of them.
