Build your own net dream.. but byond instead is filled with people who build other peoples net dreams.. For example people just buy Dracons coding and change 1 Characters name or something and call it there own.. and Byond to what I have seen has become an all out war zone of arguments!!, About 80-95% of Byond community appears to be Ignorant personaly to you I probly am among them.. but I would just like to know.. this was my original question.. IS BYOND A SOAP OPERA OR A DREAM MAKER.. because its always so dhramatic.

All I can say is, BYOND wasn't like this back in 1999, 2000, or 2001. All these wars have started since the beginning of 2002, from what i've seen. Who started the whole zeta mess anyhow?

People seem to blame everything on Zeta. You forgot, before Zeta there was Genisis, and all those 'DBZ Games' that where just chat rooms where you could hit PBag1's all day long.

Dogman I know that.. I wasnt blaming zeta but .. the game copying came after genesis coding came out and got worse after zeta.. people would trade codes like trading cards.. I remember byond used to have like 3 games online.. genesis NN and something else i cannot remember.

Why do the DBZ games bother you. The only problem I see with them is that they attract a lot of idiots. But if they keep getting attention like this than they won't go away.

I tryed to make a nice DBZ game and I think I have. When it comes down to it, the fact that every single last piece of everything in the game was done by me makes the game the best dbz game as far as I'm concerned. In all honesty, I've never seen any game that not even remotely connected with DBZeta or Genesis or NN or whatever all of dracons games were called. Why don't they just take initiave and make a better game. For instance, those of you who have played zeta, isn't it gay that with the so called KI attacks, all you do is press a button and they lock on to a target and follow them? i always thought that was gay. Isn't it gay too how your powerlevel is both your strength and hit points? they never made a distinction. Isn't it gay how you have stupid stats that do nothing , (honor will purity). so im my mind, im wondering why anyone in their right mind would want to make a copy of such a crappy game. why would you want to make another piece of crap on byond like zeta? lets face it, it was never good to begin with. it's crappy sub-standard programming, and when you get down to it, all it is is just pretty icons. Learn from ME,(yes that's right, me) if you want to make a game, dont listen to what anyone tells you to make, as long as it's a game that you want to make, and you actually make yourself then it's the best game you can make for byond. and please, i've heard this build YOUR own blah blah stuff far too often on the forum. instead of complaining, why dont you show them by an example (this coming from me....) well, dont' follow me in what i did in the forums past, but try to be a good programmer, for that is why byond is here, and also, don't forget that the point of byond is simply to have fun guys. to have fun. once again, the point of byond is FUN. so go, have fun, and stop complaining and make a good game for yourself why dont' you?

I agree all you see now a days is Zeta Zeta Zeta! Thank God for .Raw and .dbz fangames now you don't see them any more on Games Live. I HATE ZETA!

Unfortunately, ki attacks, stats, and games have no sexual preference, and thus, cannot be gay. I think if anyone learned from you, it would be more of learning what NOT to do. You are not a very good role model. And how can a game NOT be remotely connected to another game? You can always find some connection between one game and another game. For example, I made my game, and I've seen a zeta rip on the hub, so thus, my game is remotely connected to a zeta rip.

are you so dense that you dont' even know that there is more than ONE definition for the word "gay"? apparently you only know of one meaning for it. and what i meant is that almost every singe game that is dbz has zeta codeing or icons in it. speak for yourself to buddy, im more of a role model then you. at least i have games that people enjoy that i made MYSELF. what do you do ? you know what? don't even answer that, because I dont care at all what you have done or what you even think of me.

Yes, gay does have multiple definitions:
1. Of, relating to, or having a sexual orientation to persons of the same sex. 2. Showing or characterized by cheerfulness and lighthearted excitement; merry. 3. Bright or lively, especially in color: a gay, sunny room. 4. Given to social pleasures. 5. Dissolute; licentious. None of those fit your use of the word. Also, making your own game is not much of an accomplishment. Answer this though, if you made it by yourself, then why does it bear a striking resemblence to Dragon Ball Z? I thought you made it all by yourself! Also, I suggest you go back to first grade, because you seem to be having great trouble typing correct sentences. Oh, and all my games I made were completely original and completely made by me (except one or two, which I made based off of other games, because they were good games). It's not that special of a thing. Also, downloading your game, I see it is NOT completely original, and you use a lot of libraries/demos to get it to work. | |
