Actually, I am on BYOND because I need to use my graphical ability and creativity for something. =P

Heh, I went over to the ghetto last night(my steddads house) and it sounded like a friggin war out there. People were friggin shooting off any kind of gun they had. My stepdad went out and fired of his blackpowder .50 caliber rifle, that quited some of em down. Then he brought out his blackpowder .44 pistol and emptied it into the groun(it was raining dirt.) He had the biggest guns out there, lol.

The difference here is I didn't go to any party. I was just drinking for the hell of it.

I had a very interesting New Year's vacation. My friend who usually hosts the party has moved to Florida so I assumed the responsibility. I planned to clean the house last weekend... and Saturday morning I was rousted out of bed by my friend Eric and his friend Brian, who don't share my packrat sensibilities. Yes, I had the United States Navy cleaning up my house. I think that may violate the Constitutional amendment about soldiers being stationed in private homes in peacetime, but I have to admit they did a darn good job.

Then, on Sunday, we went to my mom and dad's house and constructed a bar out of scrap lumber (which included paneling and a Formica-covered door that made an excellent bar top). I've lived in this house three and a half years and the bar has been a plan ever since I moved in. So there's one thing I can check off the list.

As for drinking, I enjoyed a variety of products. (I'm 32, so there were no legal issues.) I stocked the bar with Kessler's whiskey (an Upper Peninsula standby), El Toro tequila (with the little red sombrero), J&B scotch (which Macready drank in The Thing), and Bacardi Gold rum. I drank lots of water and took several Extra Stength Excedrin (the preferred snack of Jack Torrance), so I didn't feel too bad this morning.

Please note that I'm not trying to encourage drinking, and especially not underage drinking. But I figure that those who are old enough -- and inclined -- to drink may be interested.

I didn't, actually...

The only drink I had was a frozen marguerita at the party we went to... And that wasn't enough to even give me a buzz, let alone get me drunk...lol

I'm not that into alcohol... I can't stand the taste of most alcoholic beverages (beer is my least favorite, but I find that most of the harder stuff tastes too much like cough syrup for my liking...lol)

And the few times in my life that I've been drunk, I really failed to see the point... Sure, it was a neat and novel experience and all, but I just didn't see a point in actively pursuing the state in the future...lol

I prefer to be in complete control over my mental faculties...and being drunk wrenches most of that control away from me... I dislike that...even though that's what most people who drink are craving...

It also could of been gin with some silvery stuff in it. (Don't mean to spoil ya fun or anything. I was gonna say it could've been Pottasium or Sodium. Then common sense got the better of me.)
