Most of the people who do drugs know there wrong, most of the people who are in gangs know its wrong, but they do it anyways. I believe that song writers and singers and musicains go way to far sometimes. There should be a bigger cencer on how much can be show, i believe the fact that there are cuss words on tv is not a bad thing, but its the points that are put across. Now you can argue all you want about this topic, but i will tell you i dont think it should all be cencored, i believe they should just not let so much slide.

I agree with what Scoobert said. Kids know wiether they are doing drugs, drinking, having sex, etc. And yet, they continue to do it.

That edit is complaitly true. When i was young i grew up in an atmospher that is simular to what emeinem raps about. Granted i am only 16, i dont do drugs, drink or am a thug. A few years ago we left our trailer for a 2 story house, my mom finaly got on track, and now my life is great(for the most part). I never did drugs in my time in the trailer park, and i was affered a lot. I know many kids whos parents make 200k a year and are always hovering over them when they can, yet the kids still do drug, get girls pregnent, and be general huligans.

Music has always had an affect on people, it was one of the first ways of communication. People sang to there gods, they sang to there loved ones(makes me think of birds, lol), and they sang to others. Songs have ended wars. Now you can not tell me that songs mean nothing.

I wouldn't say the rap lifestyle is fake!!!!!!
Rap was established and built around the "Thug Life" or "Street Living", abd believe it or not, that lifestyle is real. Most people think it's fake because they haven't seen it, but I live in California and most of the time that I drive to L.A. I see gangs and "shot-up" cars ALL OVER the place... So basically thugs rap what they feel, not what they want other people to think. | |
I understand there are the thug type life styles out there. But most of the rappers never seen the thug life.

Actually, thats a bad example... it could just mean the kid didn't want to be like his/her parents, so in fact, the parents had a direct affect on his life.

As I said above, this is because they don't want to be anything like their parents.(In general, they feel their parents have a boring life style, and if they live a crude life style then the kids feel that they need to grow up living a boring lifestyle, even though it's not thought up of as boring.)

Most metal bands are mixes of metal/rock, ex: Ozzy Osbourne.

Well all music has there bad songs, even county(no classic doesnt count). But most metal is about sucide, some alternitive is too. Rock is probibly the best you can leason to.
