I think I would like to have a bit of dough when I arrive there so I can aford an apartment. As nice as sleeping on your floor sounds, I'd rather have my own bed. Not that I'm above sleeping on floors...

Anyways, having my own apartment will provide you with yet another place to party! :D Just remember to bring some house-warming gifts. I prefer red-heads, but brunetts are nice too. ;P

It does get waaay too hot in the summer.

I hear it's not so much the heat, but the humidity that gets you here. They say it has something to do with the crops. I guess corn gives off a lot of gasses.

Bit of a snag, but nothing major. I just lost all my identification the other day, so now I'm scrambling to get new copies of my birth certificate and social security card so that I can get an Iowa State issued ID liciense. I should have everything in order in a couple of weeks. Until then, I'm pretty much bumming. Unless I can score a job off the books, there's no chance I'll be working before that ID is in my hand. Ah well, such is life...

On a positive note, a fellow here says he may be able to get me into the local community college. If that happens, I may just tough it out here in Iowa. I'll just have to wait and see how things go.

You'd probably only find an apartment in the next town over (10 miles away), but there might be one around here, if they're not all full =P.
Since Xooxer didn't post an update, I figured I would, Xooxer arrived in Albuquerque, New Mexico today, and are planning on coming up north near where I live when they get up enough money. I'll let Xooxer fill you in on the rest.

I dunno, having a guy from the internet come and live with you...well, seems kinda....fruity.

You must live on the good side of florida then, except for the heat which is everywhere in florida. On the other side you get plenty of rednecks and old people.
In response to Sariat
He didn't say live, he said they come up by where he lives... Which doesn't seem "fruity".

I'm not sure but I think possibly 70% of florida's population is over 60 years of age :P

As long as there are plenty of jobs that dont include repetitive actions, telephony, exchanging goods for services, or cleaning up messes, and using my own body as experiments, Im all for it.

Correct.

But get this, Security Guard jobs I can do.

70% every few days, they can't estimate how many waves of those old people die each day, and how many new old people by the old houses of the older old people. Get the picture? When I went to Orlando, Florida the state seemed kind of trashy and crime filled, there were always news reports on drug busts, dead old women, and babies being left in gutters.

God, see, this is what happens when you don't have organized crime.

Organized crime, as much as you'd hate to admit it, is very important for any community. It keeps minor gangs in check and minimizes death rates.

There will always be crime, I would rather it be controlled.

Now that would be a very good idea, The Government both, America and Canada creating organized crime in an elaborate hoax.. people who "disapear" either go into witness protection, or are imprisoned at a discreet location.

There is no telling if this would work, or for how long, but the government would be getting some of their money back and we would be able to keep better tabs on the real criminals by having them unknowingly work for the government. This would allow the government to take more drugs and weapons off the streets, take down criminals swiftly and 'compassionately'.

and nobody would be the wiser.

As much as people hate not knowing what the government does, I think thats a good diea Dareb. I personnaly beleive what the public doesnt know can't hurt them(that much).
