Is it a good game? And is the multiplayer free? I'm downloading it now and I want to know if it's worth the time.

THe warez version of Half-Life has a virus on it. Stop the download immediately!

No, the multiplayer isn't free.... it cost the developers money to develop and it costs the company money to maintain the network system. Of course, they're nice enough to not charge anything for it. Too bad software pirates don't think about things like that.

Half-Life is the best game I've ever played for computer. The multiplayer is free... only if you buy it. I recommend getting "Half-Life: Game of the year edition" ($25) or "Half-life: Platinum Edition". ($35-50) Then you can download a lot of modifications for it.
I recommend the modifications: Natural Selection, Tour of Duty, Earth's Special Forces, Day of Defeat, Counter-Strike, Dragonmod Z 1.8, and Action Half-Life. You can find all of these on http://www.planethalflife.com. | |
Half-Life is ok, but if you want some serious action, i recommend UNREAL TOURNAMENT, not the cheapest game, but i would personally say it is much better than Half-Life. It has all the attacthkments and you can create much more detailed characters for it if you aquire the mob editor, it follows the same line as Half-Life but have a wider variety of weapons, levels, and graphics. From experience of myslef and my friends, this game makes Half-Life wobble in its shoes. Check it out, go to www.polycount.com to see what some examples of mobs people have made. This game rains over many.
