Port Forwarding

I have alot of options I dont understand.Could someone help me here.Theres this list with TCP,UCP, and etc and a list with port number,telnet,etc.I have no idea what to do.Or could I shut down my firewall(I have an option not to use it)

Is this on a router, or a built-in firewall like the one in Windows XP?

  • When you start BYOND, configure the pager to use one of the ports you assigned. Then use one of the others the next time you host a game.

I also found this strange WAN configuration.Do I want to enable this.Will it even help me?

What you've just said is meaningless to me. You need to be a lot more specific and detailed in what you say when asking for help on this stuff, because you can't assume someone knows exactly which router or firewall you're working with. On the first pass, you didn't mention which you had, and the second time around you only said you had a router, but didn't say which brand. These things matter immensely, and any details you can provide will help others help you.

Theres an option to enable access to me through telnet,FTP,etc.

If your internet acces is working now, I would not mess with the WAN configuration - that is usually where you setup up the router to connect to the internet. The only things you should change are under LAN configuration - opening ports, etc.
