Man Georgia sucks. They are closing school just beacause it is cold. Up north (New York specifically) we would have like 3 feet of snow and still be going to school, but what ever, SNOWDAY...just without the snow.

Well, you all suck. I live in Tx and I gotta go to school unless the roads are frozen so bad its impossible (for the average driver...not me >=P) to drive on them. That hasn't happened yet, b/c we keep getting really odd weather (its been below 20 and above 70 in the past week).

Wow, the feeling temperature with the included windchill hit around -30 - -34 degrees in the mountains where I live. And we still had school, boy was it fun walking to the bus stop in the morning.
Up here we will never have a snow day unless there is a large amount of snow with at least 2 ft. of frozen ice, at that point they think about closing school (A little exaggeration, but close to the requirements) We sure could use that warm temperature you guys were talking about. Edit: If you didn't realize I am talking degrees fahrenheit, I didn't realize there were computer literate people that couldn't figure this out (I was consulted on a messenger) Lance ...Guardian of Dragons... |

If we focus onto technology of defense and research the human race as a whole could probably be saved, along with the entire planet.
Scientists have managed to create and stabilize small amounts of Ozone, but nothing significant enough to completely repair it all or maintain it at the current state of collapse. In regards to this problem, our scientists are at the level of dentistry of the 1600s (i say this date because I dont know the exact dates where we learned to cap the first tooth, fill holes, or even prevent or even slow down tooth decay) The ability is there, we just have to focus away from the science of war, and completely focus on defense. This way we could protect alot of people from terrorists |

I live in adelaide, in australia and we can't get snow days, actually, in my old school if the temperature was above 38 (celsius) Then we didn't have to go to school! Then I went to a different school and they had airconditioners so that rule was not applicable (grumblegrumbleschoolkeepinguptodatewithairconditionersbuthas crapassancientcomputersgrumblegrumble)

I live in Canberra, Australia. As far as I know, primary schools are required to let you go home if it gets to 40 degrees C or above - that's just a rumour, though.

I'm in high school I realise that, I was just commenting about how it works in the ACT (Australian Capital Territory, for you foreigners :-) ). High schools are exempt from the rule I mentioned, I believe. |
