It deserves it, although i like wiliblo(name right?) chat system better, its a lot simpler. Chatters is like irc.
Well, I have to agree with Nadrew:

Digirat does act like he's above everybody else. And I agree with him on the other things (Acting like he owns Chatters)

I also have to agree with digirat:

Ops are not meant to be prejudice and should not be emotional.

I also have a comment for that : Even the best of them are. A certian someone has done this to me on the BYOND forums, when proving FACTS about him doing wrong onto me. Don't try to figure it out, I'm not telling who it is.

Even though Nadrew and myself are not the best of friends, I have to back him up here. Nadrew was doing what he thought was right, and what you might think is not right, could be okay in somebody else's book. Nadrew has just been jipped and I really feel bad for him.

Why should he, when you have no problem acting like that yourself? Heck, he's not even acting above you; on the contrary, you're acting above him by saying "You're not the boss of me."
In light of recent events, I've created a Terms of Service agreement for Chatters, and am in the process of writting up a similar Terms of Status agreement for UberOperators. Once these are in place, I would like for everyone to agknowledge and abide by them. This stuff should be common sense, but I guess not.

Also, I've thought it over, and come to the conclusion that there should be no real need for UOPs to have the /promote, /demote and /mute commands at their disposal. The only OPs that should be in the Bot Channels, (the ones founded by ChanBot, such as the Lounge) are the UberOps.

The Lounge is just a starting point, not the entire program itself. There is a whole universe of chat rooms out there to create and explore!

I'll update this with the Terms of Status agreement for UberOperators as soon as it's complete. Comments and ideas welcome! (preferably on the Chatters Forum)

Digital won't unban me!

I think I'd need a bit more information than that. If you feel he's being unreasonable, you can email me:

[email protected]

Also, if I remember correctly, unbanning waasn't working properly when I left. He may have fixed it by now, or not. Dunno. Either way, I'd need more info.

Let's fill in a few details, eh?

1) After being asked several time (by several UOPs no less) to cut out the nonsense, you persisted, so you were muted.

2) you then proceeded to abuse a hole in the /afk and /showcode commands by continuing to post swear/spam content - you were then kicked.

3) you returned, kept right on with your behaviour, so you were banned (by Maz, Dracimor, Nadrew, or Abyss - I am not sure who).

4) we all discovered that the standard /ban command was not working properly, and again you returned to continue your behaviour even after you were again asked to stop.

5) finally I had to use the fullban command on you - lucky for us it worked.

Why on earth should we allow you back in? You persisted in a behaviour that was against general chatters policy and politeness, and repeatedly abused holes in the system.

I have yet to see an email or a post apologizing for such acts, or assurances that you will not do it again - atleast in a public Chatters room! Do so, and I will unban you.

(By-the-way - the /fullban code is also a little buggy, although I beleive AbyssDragon thought of a fix. We hope to implement it as soon as possible.)

I banned you multiple times, but due to a bug you could return and continue to spam us.
Upon digitalmouse finding the full ban command we saw it fit that you were the perfect example of people that should be kept out.

Also Xoox, why take Mute from UOPS?

I've noticed alot of "personal grudges" held by admins on Chatters. And I'm not talking just about towards me either.

Considering the details, I think the ban was just. Had they known about, and were instructed to use, the Public Channels ban (which I know works), I would have prefered that course of action in lue (sp?) of the full ban.

But, as you were causing a great deal of headaches, and needed a reprimand, I can understand the full ban if it was thought to be the only recourse at hand to stop your actions.

Had the Public Channels ban been used properly, though, I'm sure your behavior would have improved knowing you could no longer torture those chatting publicly. You may have tried other forms of attack, such as /tell or /invite, but those can easily be /ignore(d).

I feel this is partly my fault, as I did not inform or instruct the UOPs on how to deal with such occurances. You (Siientx) are also at fault, as you knew you were being a complete troll and didn't seem to care.

I will allow the ban to be lifted, on two conditions:

1.) You write a full appology to digitalmouse outlining in detail what you did wrong and why you think it was wrong. digitalmouse will be judging the sincerity of your message, not the spelling or grammar.

2.) Agree to abide by the Chatters Terms of Service as outlined on the Chatters Forum. (you can find the link above)

I'll leave it up to digi to decide if you're ready to return. If you are allowed back into the program, though, I expect you to behave yourself and be respectful of other people's wishes. What you do in your own private channels is your own business, but the Lounge is ruled by the UberOps, and if they tell you to chill out, do it.

As for the alleged abuse by the UOPs, I am currently working on a system that should curb, if not eliminate, any abuse.

I personally don't hold grudges against anyone in Chatters or elsewhere. But if you do something that violates the basic ideas behind decent behaviour (now clarified by the TOS statement), you deserve what you get at that time. You are not hurting me, so there is no grudge to build upon. You only hurt the community.

I Siientx am sorry for what i have did digitalmouse.I deserved the boots/mutes/and the final ban.I now know it was wrong.Even then i knew it was wrong. And i had a reason.I was bored. But that did not give me a good reason to spam and abuse the bugs. From this day on i will not spam chatters again. And if i do i will not whine because i was banned.I'll know i deserved it.

That's not a reason at all; not a good one is downplaying it.
And that typo seems a little unusual under the circumstances, given how it's underlined and all. It smells like a bad loophole to me.

I think they've already seen to it that you won't spam again.
