I've been having an issue with a certain game today(A role-playing game named Eternia). I seemed to not be able to connect to it, no matter what I've done. Going so far as to uninstall and reinstall byond. hardboot my computer and restart my internet router. Everything seems to be ineffective to make it work, but other games (I've clicked plenty of other games just to see if they will load) will all work with no problems whatsoever.

The furthest Eternia will get for me is this http://i.gyazo.com/0ecf941f7d882c74c73ebd0a276f9009.png
After sometimes downloading resources. I've let it sit on this screen for roughly 15 minutes or so. It did not budge.

Other games I've played have had similar issues before in the past, though somehow end up fixing themselves hours to a few days later depending on the game. Not really sure what else I can say here.

Outside restarting my computer, internet, an reinstalling BYOND, is there anything else I could do to get the game to actually connect? Is it maybe some fault of the game's server?
It could be that the connection between you and the server is not strong, and is dropping the connection left and right. (Have you cleared your cache? It might help, although it could conceivably also make things worse if you're having trouble downloading resources.)

You might also want to ask WritingANewOne what version the server is running. There was a bug with long account names at one point, but it should be well and truly fixed now unless the server is running an old version.
Eternia's running BYOND version 508.1290. Not bleeding-edge, but definitely not particularly out of date.
