how do you go about buying servers or shells or whatever they are that can keep my game online without my own computer on 24 seven. Thanks for any advice. I have no knowledge in this regard.

A.T.H.K. should be willing to help you out there. You can pay a wide array of shell hosting services for use of the shells. Zen hosting, BYOND whatever that A.T.H.K. runs, and Xirre(I guess) all are BYOND-specific.
