I have an idea of what the rar files are but how do you decompile them? And what are they exactly?

Its a compression format, you need winrar to unpack them.

as jot mentions, this is a compression format, *not* a compiled file like a .dmb or .exe file. You will need a de-compression program (like the previously mentioned WinRAR) to un-pack the file(s) contained within the archive.

www.rarlabs.com I use it for Zip files, because My comp is wierd about Zip files
