Ok, so far I have played around 8 DBZ games on Byond. The games are not bad persay, but a number of these games have a warning that you cannot use their stuff under penilty of law.
For starters Id like to point out out of the 8 games Ive played 100% had the same stat windows and commands and skills. All of them have the exacte same sprites, and tiles. And 90% of them has the same mapping, except maybe a slight change here or there.
Id like to know how someone could even say "under penilty of law" for such things?
I dont care if the sprites and maps and stuff are free to download and use on byond. The point is, all of these games except one are just rip offs. And only the owner of the orginal game can make such statement, and maybe even he cannot for all of the stuff, because alot of the stuff is either a rip from a rom or rpg maker.
I was already arguing with someone else about this. But Id thought Id post my thoughts here also.

Those DBZ games are a big issue(sp?) here. It's probably better to not get involved with it. :)

Funimation can. Anyone else is violating copyright laws. This issue has already been discussed a hundred dozen times over, please don't start it again. If you want to know the outcome, just search back through the forums. |
