I have Linux Mandrake up and running. I need to know how can I get a telnet server up? Do I need to download it or is it in the Distro already? If I do have to download it from where? Thanks.

I'm pretty sure Linux Mandrake has a telnet server built in (most modern distros have it as an install option), but it's service may be installed. Unfortunately I can't tell you where to look since I stopped using Mandrake 2 years ago, in favor of SUSE; RedHat, and Gentoo. But I may give the latest Mandrake a whirl for one of the digitalBYOND hosting servers.

You also should consider an SSH server instead (also with most modern distros) - it's generally far more secure than telnet.

Ok. I looked and I can't find it. I don't remember seeing it in the list of packages either.
