I doubt this will happen to BYOND, however; once the new financial systems and whatnot are in place Dantom should be able to make BYOND pay for itself. |
Thats what I meant, is it possible that they lose so much money from it that they can't afford to keep it so they just close it down to stop losing money.

Youve got it backwards there. The more people visit a site the more popular you can say it is, but it is also more likely to shutdown because more traffic costs them more money to run their servers. If they cant pay for the bandwidth used by the website and hub, then it all shuts down, just like that.
