This is about the third time this has happened to me in a week. One of my friends IMs me with a link (http://63.53.118.208:81080). It says to click it and download. Right after that happens, they tell you not to download it. The first message is an automatic message. The link is supposedly a virus that is immune to anti-virus software, and spreads itself through AIM. The IP address above is not always open, but if you can download something through an open port, they must have something like kazaa. If anyone knows what this really is, please post.
DO NOT CLICK THAT LINK!
Some guy needing info/warning people,
Airjoe

actually, the link is 63.53.118.208:8108
Apparently, you were right, its a hoax, if you go to the site, it comes up with an error. Sorry if this bothered anyone. Turns out people are just trying to spam...poor little f00|s.

I don't really see how thats possible, and if your system hasn't recieved any damage then it's nothing but pure crap, I would just shrug it off as B/S.

Unforunately, upon my search for the word "lol" at dictionary.com, I came up with nothing. Please inform me upon what signifigance your post had to mine? Or did you perhaps mean to reply to somebody else?

Unforunately, upon my search for the word "lol" at dictionary.com The closest I can find is "loll" which refers to the way your head can move whe totally relaxed (like when unconscious). And that may very well be the case! Personally, this "AOL-speak" (it is *not* "leet-speak" by any stretch of the imagination) can get a bit annoying since it is nothing more than a really lazy method of communication. Likely to be the next "ebonics". |
