Hey everyone i was just wondering how many people actually know what dynasty warriors is, and how many like it. Just because I am making Dynasty Warriors Online and all, it would be cool to know this. I am a HUGE fan, i play it with my brother alot.

i like it, one of the best ps2 games on my opinion

The original Dynasty warriors came out after Soul Blade on the PS and was quite blatently an attempt at cashing in on namco's niche. Since I have never played it or any of its incarnations I have no idea what its like other then you fight with weapons. Plus its a PS2 game and not out on the X-box. So never played.

I still have the original Dynasty Warriors and should probably get into it again. To be fair, the PS had many fighting games. Namco merely had the top selling 3D ones. Dynasty Warriors was decent for its time and somewhat of a surprise since it came from Koei (who had been doing war simulations). Weapons-based fighting might have been the selling point for some people since Soul Edge/Blade was out. However, the best part was the block/parry/redirect system which managed to add depth without overwhelming the player. I liked it a lot.
I have not played any of the PS2 Dynasty Warrior games. I don't even know why they bothered with the name and number scheme since the gameplay seems so different in what I've read. |

I'v played them all because my friend is a big fan, and there is not that much difference. The only big differences are when you look a version ahead, so if you played Dynasty Warriors 2 and then played Dynasty Warriors 4, you would see a big playing gap, but DW 3 was basically a small upgrade from 2, and 2 was a big upgrade from 1. Although they have gotten a lot better, I especially enjoy 4's customizing options. My friend made a guy thats better then his maxed out Lu Bu, who is supposed to be the most powerful guy in the game.

Lu Bu is probably the strongest guy in the game, but i dont like him much hes evil, he is a trader. All the dynasty's dont trust him. There might be someone eaqual to him, or something i donno. But his horse is the best in the game! |
