OK for some reason people seem to like ignoring me according to how many posts I've made with no answer. Now I have another one I REALLY need help with to make my game and I'm wondering... am I doing something wrong, or with this current topic I have in classified ads, is it just really hard to make turfs?
Perhaps no one's interested in making turfs right now, or no one's interested in working on the type of game you're interested in building?

Simply put, if no one responds to your ad, no one's interested. Nothing you can do about that.
Your throwing massive amounts of turf work at people without offering a single thing. Oh and BTW offering GM status for paymen lessens your chance of anybody even taking you seriously.

I'd love to work for ya, Heck I could even sell you my artpacks, but you aren't offering anything. For a small job like banners, splash screens, or a few characters, I'll do it free, but your asking people to texturize a whole agme for ya!

Well what can I offer? I can't get dimes.
As for asking someone to texturize a whole game, well... I suppose I COULD go around asking multiple people to do small part of what I need as I need it. That sound like a good idea, if not, what should I do?

Go with lousy turf graphics (or some kind of substitutes) until you get the game to a point where enough people are interested enough in your game that they'll do work for it just because they like it.

I can't even find lousy graphics for what I want...

That's why Dream Maker has a built in icon maker =)

I don't know your artistic ability, but I hope that you can make, at best, lousy turf icons. If the graphics are the biggest concern for your game, then you should rethink your game.

lousy might be an understatement for my artistic ability... but I will at least try if I must... good graphics are sometimes good for a first impression though. I have an awesome storyline planned for both good and evil, so no major rethinking needed

Well then it seems like the storyline is the focus of the game, not the graphics, so it doesn't seem like you should be worrying so much about the graphics. The best way that I've found to get good graphics is to make them yourself. If you start off with lousy icons, and work on them every now and then (when you get bored of working on other aspects of the game) then they won't be so lousy anymore.

doubt they will ever get much better with only me working on them, but I suppose I won't know unless I try... I'll try that if I don't get a turf artist soon...
Don't worry about graphics until you get a good and interesting game made, and when people want to play it is when you get better graphics for it. Think about it like this, if people want to play it and a graphics maker wants to be recognized then you could use the exscuse that your game is becoming popular, and they will begin creating turfs/icons whatever you need just about. I also suggest to never, ever, offer "GM" for favors from people, thats a big mistake, only give administrative powers to those who are absolutely trustworthy and you know for sure they wont use them in wicked or demeaning ways. Please, I beg of you don't let a good game become corrupt from bad choices, and good luck. Oh yea, nice name.
