Greetings.
On Friday I'm going to the dark side and purchasing a X-Box. But to all you XBox-fanatics I ask you this - "What 3 games should I buy with the XBox?". I know I'm getting Halo, but which do some of you recommend?
-Chris

Buy 007 Agent under Fire and a memory card. Then use the exploit to install linux on it WITHOUT any opening of the xbox required.

Buy Mech Assault, Brute Force, Ghost Recon, NFL Fever 2003(or wait for 04), or Return to Castle Wolfenstein.

Agent under fire sucks compared to Nightfire. Get Nightfire, not agent under fire.
|
Don't. Get a GameCube. I have seen Halo, then I saw Metroid Prime, which is much MUCH better.

Well, Chris.
It really depends on what styles and genres of gaming you like the most. On Consoles I myself prefer first-person and adventure the most. I like strategy games on the consoles, but I find them much simpler to control over a PC, as in my opinion, strategies don't go all that well with consoles because of the lack of control compared to a PC. (In a way, there is not really any lack, it just seems it because you only have a joystick, and maybe a mouse, but that isn't half as efficient as a keyboard, in my opinion :P) Whereas PC, my main choices would have to be first-person and strategy. Here, same as above, but I chose strategy as opposed to adventure, mainly because my top choices go as follows: Choice of most Importance. Anyhow, this time, I find it better playing strategies on the PC, and adventures in a way, for me, they seem to gain the lack of control now. Not because of the joystick ordeal, this time, the joystick reigns supreme for me, as the joystick has only the necessary buttons/actions for me to use, whereas the PC, it has way too many, most though, are unasigned and/or unused. So, for PC, strategy is a winner and on a console it is a loser, whereas adventure reigns supreme on the console, yet fails to compete on the PC with the strategy genre. Choice of most Importance - Favoured choice. -- 1. Strategy -- 2. First-Person -- 3. Adventure - Console Choice. -- 1. Adventure -- 2. First-Person -- 3. Strategy - PC Choice. -- 1. Strategy -- 2. First-Person -- 3. Adventure --Lee |
Well, I may deviate from the norm as what the best games you should get. I personally try to find the great games that are pretty cheap. My number o0ne is Project Gothem Racing (This came with my X-box on the day it came out and I'm still trying to complete it) Dead or Alive 3 and Phantom Crash.
Hope it turns out nice (If your after Halo you can leave Phantom Crash, but get it later ;) ) |

I have a Gamecube, and I have Metroid Prime (me being a huge Metroid fan that I am =). I'm not just getting an XBox for Halo, but for many other games (mostly games that will arrive in the future: Halo 2, Doom III, HalfLife 2). There's also a game called "Deathrow" I wanna check out. It got a pretty good rating on IGN.com (http://xbox.ign.com)

Do you have Xbox live?
|
Halo (of course)
Splinter Cell (God, I love that game.) Metal Gear Solid:Sons of Liberty(X-box is supposed to have added more to this version of it than the PS2 version. Plus, with MGS you can't go wrong =P) |

You HAVE to get Agent Under Fire. It's the only one that can be exploited to help you load linux on your xbox without ANY hardware modifications.
