Well super newbie shades is working on another game he will most likely do half way, quite and put it on the hub with the source. But exp is good right?

Anyways..Im working on a DBZ game. Gasps. It uses the zeta icons. So Im a fushing feef...

Anyways. Players still have weights and speed bags.. But it isnt about just getting stronger. Its more along the lines of my other half published game Live-A-Live. A kinda of a life sim.

Players can get jobs, buy houses, and more. Training can be done at the gym, which reuires a member ship, or players can buy training equipment which they can get at the shop to use at home.

I plan to add in fishing, a small card game of some sorts and more.

There will be world fighting contests, but player requie fee to enter..

Player cars, gambleing and more. Marrage. And growing your own food. Id like to add in a hunger system also so eating and stuff become mandatory.

There will also be a shop whjere you can buy all sorts of crap, and every so often the inventory changes, similar to AC, but how I dont know yet...

So far I got:

Players training eq
Houses
House Land
Player transformation ala Zeta
Chating
Retorting

A number of things like IT and Fly will be removed from my DBZ game. Players can insetad gain skills like swim or climb.

When players transform they stay in that form.

I did the coding so far on my own. I didn just copy N past a bunch of zeta code. My coding my be slightly more bulky and maybe even a little unstable at the moment.. X_X but at least I can say I did it.

Retorting is a personal favorite of mine, where once a player reaches a certian point of power, they can retort which bascially re-sets everything except they house, and stats. It still says Lvl 1 but it will also say retorts 1 or whatever.

I know there are too many DBZ games out there right now, but Im trying to make it good.

If you can give me any actual helpful ideas I should add in, please feel free to tell me...

Ill put a demo up some time soon when I get houses working. But only GMS or Admins can sell houses.

Quick! Get rid of the icons and edit your post before anyone else sees it!

Sounds like the game might be good...I dunno...But change the graphics who cares if they are home-made and crappy graphics dont make a game (But zeta ones can hurt your game badly).
Who votes we beat this guy to death....

Zeta rip chatting life build game with GMs.

It's a combination of all things evil and bad.

It'd be an eviller post but the guy seems to be doing it for fair reasons... EVEN SO.

I think that hacking games and games with spelling errors in their titles completely suck and should never ever be made, but if someone likes games like that then I won't discourage them from making that game.

Colonisation is spelt right muppet -_-

I think people should think less about the apperance of the game and more about the actual game. Certainly shouldn't worry about doing 3d stuff -_-

Yes I would rather play a game with stick figures that wave their arms around like maniacs, and the stick figures being supposed to look like pigs than one with DBZ icons.

Yes, but you certainly shouldn't discourage people from trying (or succeeding). If someone wants to make another DBZ game, let them.

By the way, its not only appearance, its also functionality. A 3D game doesn't only look nicer, but it is capable of doing some things that 2D games cannot do, or do as well. And, I honestly don't care about hacking games or whether or not a game's title is spelled correctly, my point was that there may be people that think the games that you make are pointless or stupid, just like you and others probably feel about DBZ games.

Well, 3D games can do some things that 2D games can't, but 2.5D Wolfenstein-esque games, including ones with a quasi-isometric view, don't reap most of those benefits. Particularly those that involve moving up and down (rope climbing and such) and complicated geometry (ledges anyone? standing on top of a building and then dropping through a hole in the roof into the building?).

Off the topic. Id love to see a 3D rpg come out like Ultima Underworld. Thatd be fun.

Serria did some 3D online rpgs like that, but at the last min they decded to rip out the Multiplayer part and made them single player.
Y not name it "DBZ meets the Sims!" it sounds like that...
