Ah yes, the School Daze is coming around town again this time of year, and I havem recently gone again into my deep depressions and had those re-occuring nightmares.

But this time it's different. My new highschool was just built this past summer, and it is pretty snazzy. All new computers, hundreds of them, new teachers, new faces, new classes, and the works.

-But the best part of all is,... The free Palm-Pilots (HAndheld Computers) for everyone! They are great, I saw one today. They have color screens and everything. All the novels in English class are pre-installed on the PDAs, and teachers will send quizzes and tests onto them as well. The counseler also said we can message each other with them and send files to each other!!! They even have these really cool fold-out keyboards that attatch to them.

For once in my life, I'm actually, do I dare say it? Anxious to go back to school! ^_^

Ciao!

Woah, that's cool. I need to go to a new school.... I can count all the hot chicks with 1 1/2 hands :(

I prefer working than school by far ;). Although, from my current summer job(Working at a skating ring.) I have found that only having 1 person getting onto your back when you do something wrong is better than having to do something wrong with 8 different teachers(Or however many you have.) on your back. Plus I make money, in school I work and don't earn anything, but if I don't work I get severely punished.

Gah, our schools keep getting upgraded as soon as class of 2006 (my class) gets out of the school. Until then we keep having the crap for schools.

I really wish they offered online schools (Other than University of Pheonix.). That would make school so much more fun ('cept for the fact that you wouldn't have human contact for god knows how long, but that isn't what school is suppost to be about anyways!), and you would be able to take breaks whenever you wanted, and learn at your own pace. It would also reduce class sizes if enough people did it. This would however create some problems with hands on applications such as Driver's Ed.

Keep dreaming, Kunark :P

Anyways, school isn't -too- bad right now, it is just so, so, so boring. I mean, even with friends in most of your classes, you never sit by them so it is still boring. And of course you get sent out in the hall if you talk accross the classroom, so it isn't worth it since I'd rather be bored and get good grades than be bored and get bad grades.

One way you can tell our school system doesn't work very well, is acedemic dumbasses, such as myself, can still get great grades, even when people who try hard, such not as myself, can easily get worse grades. In my math class I Aced it... When all the nerdy math-wizes got Bs all year long, when I aced it all year long.

Wanna do my math homework? I'll give you a dollar! =D

Thats the thing. Around here I haven't had to turn in math homework for 2 years... I don't even study before tests, they just make them open-book so I pretty much just copy patterns from the textbook and select answer b.

Then kids who study a ton, throughout the term, get lower grades because a small part of the equation or such will throw them off, when others have advanced in the practicaly useless skill of guessing.

Lucky fekka, here...either you turn in homework or you flunk! I hate teachers who out weigh homework more than tests. Personally, I'd rather just do tests...because in my opinion homework doesn't really help someone. If you don't know it, you don't know it...and frankly, most people (like me) learn better by them selves. BUT, I get in trouble all the time if I do something another way that I find easier than "the right method".
I can't wait until I go back to school. At my Highschool of upstate New York I am by-far, one of the "most friendliest" (As voted in the Year Book, meaning I am known and on good terms with basically everyone) and "most jackass" (As written by me as my goal to raise as much hell as possible, while not breaking any school rules [I am great with beating systems like this]).
During summer breaks I lose contact with almost everyone I know from school (With an exception to 5-10 people) as I really don't collect phone numbers on an average basis, and on top of hanging out with these people I will also be on my senior year!
As excited I am towards my senior year, I will still miss highschool after I graduate. I guess you look at school from a different angle when you are on good terms with everyone and can have as much fun as possible without getting into too much trouble (Although I am veteran of the detention room from 3-4 in the afternoon), plus it gives me something to do in place of sitting on my computer and chatting or working on projects like this until my girlfriend is done working or friends are willing to go raise hell a few towns away.

I don't know much about your school, but from my experience of school I couldn't say it has ever sucked.

As most people, I hate high school. But I have my reasons. In my opinion, 95% of the kids in my are mindless zombies of the social norm without consciences. And to make things even "better", they are moving the 7th and 8th graders in to my high school. So not only do we have a school full of thugs and sluts, but now we have a bunch of little whiney brats. Boy howdy, where do I sign up? =P

I think I'd get a better education getting taught by a monkey in a "dunce" cap... hmm.. that's not a bad idea. Especially if you substitute the monkey for a penguin, and the "dunce" cap for a "foxy grandpa" cap... and give him a voice, so he can say "Tee hee hee! How delightful!" in an English accent.

But I'd rather be working 8 hours a day, 5 days a week like I am currently than school. Atleast I make money.
Chris + $$$ = *sparkle* (no money for anyone else; too damn selfish; reigns supreme in his own damn mind)
Chris + School = *a woeful dimming light*

But anyways, Kujila, I'm happy for you... with the PDA and whatnot. Wish my school was that generous. But they aren't. They're just poor.

By the way, If anyone is interesting in seeing what I'm spending my money I've earned from my summer job, it is located at: http://www.abspc.com/app/ Checkquote.asp?cartno=11186060&systemid=1622
