That's right, The Prodigal Xoox has retuned!

I have a spiffy new DSL line and an updated version of Chatters (which Nadrew is currently hosting due to my innability to open a port on this new router).

Keep an eye out for me around BYOND!

Hurrah! All hail the return of the Xoox! And yea, the denizens of Chatters came forth and prostrated themselves... okay, enough of that. =D

Why can't you open a port on the router? What model is it?

I'm not hosting anymore due to a bug that let the few OP's I did allow to go insane with power and demote everything in sight, I'll put the old version back up tomorrow until you fix the bugs.

That is not what hey did nadrew..They muted eachother then promoted eachother but it said voice instead of SOP. How is that going insane?

That doesn't help me fix the problem at all. I need more information on just what happened. Were you in a ChanBot channel, one you created, or one someone else created? How did you Op them? To what status level did you promote them to? Did you change any of the privileges for that channel that may have allowed these people to demote others?

It may be a new feature, but I can't be sure with the lack of info you provided.

In a ChanBot channel, there were three SOPs. They got promoted by Nadrew's ChanBot key. Unforunately the /mute, etc verbs from the old Chatters version didn't work, and the links for those commands were missing from the /who.

By using the link style from the old version of Chatters, they/we found out how to mute, voice, etc, others. Unfortunately, while testing the mute(on another SOP because that should just have the bot produce a warning), that SOP got muted. He was re-voiced, and later, while testing the mute, as voiced, he muted another SOP, who then got voiced. After a while, the last SOP got voiced, without even needing the mute.

Besides the promotion of the three SOPs, no one actually got "demoted", "oped", or "promoted". Those particular links didn't work(and probably aren't supposed to for anyone but a channel founder or Xooxer).

I think that covers everything.

I own the ChanBot key ;) I promoted them to SOP, and the privledges are set to default.

Well, I just fixed the ChanBot key having access to ChanBot commands by prefixing all bot names with @. Seems to make the bots more noticable as well.

As for the bugs you exploited to access the commands, I'm working on putting an end to that as well. Jon88 gave me some insight as to what happened. I thought I fixed that one already, but there was another access point I was unaware of.
