I'm on my schools PC. The computers won't let me install Byond. It unzipps it then it begins the setup but at 43% a box pops up showing a red circle with a X in it then setup shuts down. Anyone know how to make it work???
Maybe they blocked installing stuff, why install byond at a school computer?
Sounds like there is a program stopping the installation. Perhaps you should ask someone in authority if you can install BYOND on the school's system.

It may help your cause if you explain all the virtues of BYOND:

- That it could help kids get involved in programming
(which requires good math skills, proper logical deduction, grammar, spelling, creative design, art, music, social studies and the sciences).

- That it comes uses a simple, yet versitle programming language people of any age can learn in short time.

- That it comes with an online community that helps and supports it's fledgling developers.

- That projects can easily be published and made accessible to thousands of players in no time and with little effort.

- That it's documentation is extensive, and freely available online.

- That there are numerous supportive websites about BYOND, such as http://www.BYONDscape.com and http://www.digitalBYOND.org.

- And many others that I have leftout...

Failing that, wait until you get home to access BYOND.
