hey guys
ok so I downloaded byond on my new computer(it runs win 8.1) and installed it w/o a problem. But when I try to open it, the "loading game information screen comes up", fades away, and then nothing happens. It still runs in the process tab in the task manager. Oh and when I try to star a game from the Byond website, it takes me to the download page, like I the system cant detect the client.
If anyone can help me with this, thanks!

Try the latest BETA - http://www.byond.com/download/
It sounds to me that something is blocking it. Try installing BYOND as an Administrator also, you can do this by right clicking and selecting run as Admin | |
Do you have a firewall?
Do you have anti virus?
