Smoking weed is not allowed by the school but it still happens once every week or so. Only smoking cigarette's is allowed. And considering that cigarette addiction is mostly mental not having a cigarette COULD cause disraction in the mind. Keyword there COULD.

I can get along with someone who hates anime I just can't get along with a person who hates anime and can't keep that opinion to himself. Personally anime is one of the most important things to me. If they keep their thoughts of anime to themselves I'll my thoughts of anime to myself. Well I keep my thoughts to myself as long as the other person does likewise. I only start bashing anime when someone decides to start praising it for poorly founded reasons. | |

Then why doesn't your school cut down on smoking cigarrettes and help the students quit so they don't have to rely on them anymore? Your just proving my point here.

I don't really fell like getting into a big argument but this scool has less control things you do in school are your own choice and they don't want to be thier to control your life just help you get a High School degree. The principle Dennis does mention that smoking is a bad habbit and explains some of the damage it has done to his friends. I just remembered something about our school that is different than form other school we are less formal. You say your teachers first name and not Mr., Ms., or Mrs. They joke around and say they'll kick you out if you say Mr., Ms., or Mrs.

Really, if this "school" is in the United States, I HIGHLY doubt it "allows" you to smoke if under 18 years of age (average legal age to smoke in most states). If they did, and also...if the laws are anything like here in Florida, you can't even smoke on public/government property without a possible fine.

Legally we can't smoke and the school knows that. If a policeman or a school inspector or something comes to school the principle warns us to saty out of sight. The fact they let to students smoke I would think they would pretty much keep to themselves. I don't know there exact reasoning for allowing us to smoke but they have their own reason godd or bad i don't care.

Possibly because I tagged it to show it was sarcasm, perhaps your school doesn't see the need to teach you anything about reading comprehension past a 1st grade level so you didn't quite understand my post.

The fact that you have an automatic bias against people who dislike anime is a different matter, but that's not much different than my bias towards people who're anime fanatics. | |

Not saying marijuana is a hardcore drug or worse than alcohol or anything (although at least when I drink my Bacardi, it doesn't affect everyone around me or make the whole place reek like alcohol... everything you can say about second hand smoke from tobacco applies to marijuana, marijuana smoke isn't magically clean)... but it sure isn't better than tobacco in any way you can measure. I like my room to reak of marijuana :) And I usualy won't smoke around people who don't like it unless it's outside. | |
Ya but most of them get filtered out through the filter. That's why I try to smoke out of a bong or bubbler as much as possible, water is a great filter. If you've ever seen bong water you'll know how much of that crap your keeping out of your lungs.

Smoking anything isn't good for you but I'd rather smoke a natural plant then chemicals. So if somebody said, "You can either breathe fumes from burning this plant or you can inhale these chemicals," you'd make up your mind right then and there without bothering to find out what plant and what chemicals? What is it about being a "natural plant" that automatically makes it better, safer, or healthier than "chemicals"? You do know that it's "chemicals" that make weed into weed, right? Your body doesn't know or care how the chemicals got into what you're smoking... the effect is the same. | |
